On the Road Friday ~ Apostle Islands Sea Caves

Hello
Welcome to On the Road Friday
Today we will take one more trip to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, Wisconsin.
Last week I shared information about the Apostle Islands. If you missed it click here

I called this one the "Wedding Veil"

I think it would be amazing to listen to this chunk of ice crash into Lake Superior.
I started to wonder what it all would be like once all this ice starts to melt.
I have heard ice crash on the river as the frozen river breaks up.
It is natures power in full force as the rapids whirls around the big ice chunks.

Inside a dry cave. Nice and warm, out of the wind.

 Inside an ice cave.
This cave had so many amazing icicles. Looking at the bubbles inside of the icicles was so cool.

I loved the color of the ice. The blue ice was my favorite.

Jeremy took this photo of Sam walking out of a cave. I love it.

God's creation.
Amen!

"Hey, it is nice in here"

I know we are all dreaming of Spring, flowers and sun.
Winter does have beauty too.
I am thankful for all the seasons.

Although this Winter has been hard...I am so very thankful we had this opportunity to visit the sea caves!

It sifts from leaden sieves,
It powders all the wood,
If fills with alabster wool
The wrinkles of the road.

It makes an even face
Of mountain and of plain,
Unbroken forehead from the east
Unto the east again.

It reaches to the fence,
It wraps it, rail by rail,
Till it is lost in fleeces;
It flings a crystal veil

On stump and stack and stem,
The summer's empty room,
Acres of seams where harvests were,
Recordless, but for them.

It ruffles wrists of posts,
As ankles of a queen,
Then stills its artisans like ghosts,
Denying they have been.

Emily Dickinson

Happy Friday to you!
Thank you for coming along today.
