Flowers on the Veggies...the hard work pays off

The weeding, the watering, the tender care, it all pays off. As our plants continue to grow and flowers bloom, we know harvest will not be far now.

We ate our first fresh beans last week. Yummy, what a treat!

Flowers on the potatoes too. We are keeping the rascally potato bug away!

 My handsome garden partner.

And my adventure of taking on  another garden plot has been very rewarding in many ways. If you missed my post about my new adventure of  taking on another garden and my blessing of my friend Marv, please click the following link.

And I will have another fun Endevour to share with you soon.

How about you? What is your favorite fresh from the garden...can not wait to eat...veggie?

  1. Your garden looks wonderful. I love farm to table especially green beans. We do not have a vegetable garden in SC but had them at my other home in Pennsylvania. I so miss it and will have another one once we get settled in our new home, have a wonderful week.

  2. Your garden looks so nice. Mine has weeds and some bug problems. I have been eating green beans though - so much better than store bought!

  3. Your garden looks great! Our tomatoes are finished for this year, and now it is too hot for much else to set. You might be interested in my blog post today. "Too Hot to Set" Linda@Wetcreek Blog (www.wetcreek.blogspot.com)

  5. Absolutely nothing beat home grown. Though after numerous decades I've "retired" from veggie gardening we regularly patronize our local farmers markets....:)

  6. Your garden looks perfect! And so weed free... I wish I could say the same! Favorite veggie? Onions and Lettuce. It sounds so simple, but it makes me so happy having them from my own garden!
