Halloween Fun

Halloween is just a few weeks away.
Do you have a tradition you enjoy to do?
Do you go trick or treating, take in a haunted house or make a special treat?

 Normal is an illusion.
What is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly.
-Morticia Adams

We carve our pumpkins and light them for all our neighbors to see.
The boys use to go trick or treating, but they decided to pass out candy last year, and plan to do it again this year. They love to see the little ones dressed up as Super Heroes, animals or other fun stuff. Last year we had Dorothy and Toto come to trick or treat. It was so cute. We also had a cute little bumble bee.

 Boo!

The boys love to carve pumpkins. That is the favorite part of the Halloween excitement.

 Meow!
I like to dress up too. When the kids come to the door to trick or treat, they get such a delight to see the person passing out candy is dressed up too.

  2. You look great! We always enjoy handing out candy to the little ones, too. We have a pottery pumpkin that we put a battery lighted candle in. Do you have a favorite candy?? Mine is Reese's peanut butter cup!

  4. We no longer have kids living in our neighbourhood and we no longer have Halloween trick or treaters coming to our door. I enjoy passing candy and treats when the neighbourhood was full of kids of all ages. Now the school and service clubs have parties for the kids to keep them safe.

You make a beautiful kitty. Happy Halloween.

  6. I think it is as much fun to give out candy as it is to go trick or treating. Little Buddy will go just to the houses close to us and then run around outside a bit with his walker or bike.

  7. Our neighborhood has changed big time and so has Halloween. When our boys were growing up the school bus was full and Halloween brought lots of kids to the door. Now only a few on the bus and last year no trick or treaters. Mostly retired people here now, Kind of sad in a way but on the other hand I had to dispose of the left over candy....:)

  8. You are SOOO Cute! When I lived in the Twin Cities, I LOVED getting ready for all the trick or treaters. It was such an event! Now, where we live, we don't get a single visitor. Good thing is, I don't have to worry about what to do with the leftover candy :)

  10. I don't know why Blogger ate my comment, but I'll try again: LOVE the cute kitty!!!!! :-) Hallowe'en sounds like fun at your house. Haven't had a trick or treater here in years, but when the kids were little, we had a Reformation Day party. I made Joe a monk's robe and he was Martin Luther. Nailed his 95 theses to the back door. He was much shorter in those days. Do you hand out little Mounds bars??? Just askin.'
