Lemon Meringue Pie and it is the Hodgepodge

We still have snow here in Northwest Wisconsin. I plan to go for a cross country ski today.
I keep a ski journal. My latest entry for a ski was April, 22! Will we make it to April this ski season?

Let's join Joyce and the others for the Hodgepodge.

 1. Best place you've been lately?

The UP of Michigan, staying in this lovely cabin and cross country skiing with my family.

2. What's something you should say yes to today? Or this week? Or even this year?

More sunrises and sunsets.

3. Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day in any way, shape, or form?  If so tell us how. Our family will wear green on St. Patrick's Day just for the fun of it.  In Western cultures the color green is typically associated with jealousy, nature, good luck, and growth. What's the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word 'green'? Spring!

 4. What's a product or service you love so much you'd happily be their spokesperson? Tell us what makes you such a fan.
Twinings tea. I enjoy the flavor of the tea and the special blends they create. My favorite blend during the holiday season is Butter Mint.

5. March 14th is Pi Day. How are your math skills? I am rusty with my math skills. I blame it on the calculator. I worked in Accounts Payable and that is when using the calculator at super fast speed began for me. I think that is when my math skills started to go as well. I still can fly on the calculator.
What's the last thing you did that required math of any kind? I balanced my bank account. And most importantly do you like pie? I love pie! What's your favorite kind? Lemon Meringue Pie With ice cream, whipped cream, or please hold the cream?  A wonderful slice of Lemon Meringue pie with a mountain high meringue.

6.  Insert your own random thought here.
I  chuckle at.. once our neck of the woods reaches that 50 degree day after the long winter. We are all ready to head out for ice cream.

  4. I love your answers Cara. I'm right there with you with the ice cream when it reaches 50 degrees.
We had another snow storm yesterday and it's still snowing today but the wind has died down.
Only 6 more days and some hours and minutes before spring begins. No robin sighting yet.
    Hugs, Julia

  6. Your sky picture is gorgeous! And the ice cream looks so yummy. Eating an ice-cream cone while watching the sunset would be perfect!

  7. What a gorgeous photo! Several people mentioned lemon meringue pie today. That's one of hub's favorites. I feel like I've also gotten lazy when it comes to directions. I rely on the GPS but I guess there's no going back : ) Happy Wednesday!

  11. That ice cream looks delicious! I had forgotten about lemon meringue pie but now have asked Mother to make it for Easter dinner. I hope no one else wants any because I can eat the whole thing by myself. :)

  12. I think you might have a good chance at skiing past April 22 this year. We have had three blizzards in March with a potential for another one next Tuesday. Old Man Winter just refuses to die. Your photo of the sunset is beautiful. One of the hallmarks of Spring here is the opening of Cremeland, a local ice cream stand that closes for the Winter months. Have an ice cream and go skiing again. Thanks for visiting my blog.

  13. I guess with old man winter hanging on you at least get to enjoy more cross country skiing. Love the sunset so pretty. I laughed about the ice cream at 50 degrees. People that do not live in the midwest do not get how we can get excited over 50 degree day. It is like a heat wave for us! We are suppose to hit 50 on Sunday so Wooo Hooo! I will be so happy with that. Enjoy the cross country skiing.
    Hugs,
    Kris

  15. Isn’t it funny how a 50° day feels balmy after experiencing real cold? It’s supposed to drop back into the 20s this weekend for us, no ice cream here (yet). But I’m keeping the faith that spring is on its way - matter what it looks like outside! Did I mention we got 25 inches this past Tuesday/Wednesday?

  16. Such a lovely post.
We've had snow, but not too much - hope your ski-ing went well.

    All the best Jan

  17. I love Twinings tea as well. I'd take on a nice oatmeal brand. I love cooked oats for breakfast and you can do tons of crafts with the box. Mind you, I'm now crafting with empty tea packets so I'd need your supply.
