It is simple things, like a glowing sunset, the sound of a running stream or the fresh smell in a meadow that causes us to pause and marvel at the wonder of life, to contemplate its meaning and significance. Who can hold an autumn leaf in their hand, or sift the white warm sand on the beach, and not wonder at the Creator of it all?
Good thoughts. Seems so crazy to believe nature evolved by chance.
ReplyDeleteWe made our trip down through Wisconsin today. After two weeks of gorgeous weather, was a little disappointed that it was chilly and overcast today. We left an hour later than I wanted to. We visited the Caddie Woodlawn house south of Menomenie. Wanted to zip over to Pepin to see the Laura Ingalls stuff but didn't have time. We drove through Merrick State Park but didn't get out. We didn't get to Perrot State Park until 5:15 but I was determined to get a hike in before the sun went down. We hiked up to Brady's Bluff and loved the view. That trail was pretty cool even with all the steps and stuff. My knees are still a little wobbly. Perrot looks likes a place we'd like to go back to. Thanks for recommending it. Wish we had more time there but we ran out of daylight. Gas is lots cheaper where my son lives. It was 3.59 in Ashland and 3.35 down here. That's almost twenty five cents a gallon cheaper.:)
