My son Atticus made me the following garden pot.
He made it with the help of his grandma and grandpa.
It is White Birch. Grandpa helped him peel the bark from a White Birch tree that Xcel Energy cut on my parents land. They shaped it into a planter and secured it with wire to dry.
I planted hens and chicks inside of my new planter.
Thank you, Atticus, it is perfect for my rustic garden.
Very cute! Those sell for a lot of money!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this. He did a great job.

ReplyDeleteI love Birch, great job Atticus (love that name too).
White Birch is so beautiful....what a great gift. I imagine you will enjoy it for years. Your son must be a special guy!
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely...how long will it hold up outside? I could imagine smaller ones filled with pine cones, used for Christmas indoors, wouldn't that be lovely....
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your planter! You are so lucky!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful! Your parents are so cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely planter, I love birch trees, I bet it was so sad to see them cut down.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
Rustic indeed. I love it. I'm rehabbing an old wooden wagon for a planter....:)
