On The Road Friday - Madeline Island - Lake Superior


 Hello and Welcome to On The Road Friday.
October 16, 17 and 18 my sister  and I celebrated our second Sister's Weekend.
This year we traveled to Madeline Island, the largest of the Apostle Islands, Lake Superior.


 The following photos are taken on the Island.


 The weather was perfect for hiking. We hiked at Big Bay State Park.


 The Autumn colors were showing off.

 I drove. This was the first time for me to drive our truck on to a Ferry. 
I did it, truck and sister all safe on the Ferry, to the Island and back.


My sister and I enjoyed a great weekend of catching up!
I will be doing a few more posts about Madeline Island and giving some tips of what we learned to help plan your vacation.

    The lake is beautiful, Carla. You should see our lake right now. It's the lowest I've seen it. I was so thankful for those short days of rain, and thank you for your prayers, Carla. It's nice to know you're thinking of California too.

    What a fun trip! I am excited to read your upcoming posts on this, as I really want to visit this island. Way to go on driving on to the Ferry :) I would imagine that to be a little bit nerve racking the first time? You handled it like a pro though, I am sure!

    Carla, your photos are beautiful,, had never heard of Madeline Island, it looks like it was an amazing hike and ferry ride - good job on getting the truck on there...I know ferry's well from where we are from in Canada and they can be tricky, especially with a truck!
