It is Wednesday and that means it is time for the Wednesday Medley.
Terri asks the questions
We answer the questions.
What is your claim to fame?
Creating Garden Bouquets
What is something you like to do the old-fashioned way?
Cook .. I do not use boxed mixes, frozen meals or other.
I like to cook the old fashioned way.
What did you think you would grow out of but haven’t?
Collecting rocks, sea glass and drift wood.
What is the dumbest thing you’ve done that actually turned out pretty well?
I volunteered myself for something. Later I wondered why on earth did I do that? It ended up turning out pretty well, I was happy I had volunteered.
If you had to change your name, what would you change it to?
I would not change my first name. I would change my last. Not because I am not happy with my last name. Sadly, my maiden name will not be carried on. Only girls left in the small family that it already is and we all got married and took our husbands name.
My maiden name will be done after my father, his two brothers and unmarried sister.
What is something random you can tell us about this week?
I found this quote..
To err is human, but when the eraser wears out ahead of the pencil, you're overdoing it.
J. Jenkins
Have a lovely day!
Oh Carla, that quote made me laugh!!! And I think one of your sons should legally change his last name for the sake of your maiden name. I'm sure Jeremy would love this idea. LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post, my friend, and I have to say I giggled at the quote. Funny, but true... :)
ReplyDeleteHave a most beautiful day! Hugs!
I love your pencil quote! And the flowers are beyond beautiful. Is this gorgeous deep purple flower a dahlia? It is sad about your maiden name. I would collect rocks, sea glass, and driftwood if we lived closer to a shore. Well, I do have a collection of rocks and fossils. Been meaning to post them.
ReplyDeleteAlmost all the erasers are gone on my pencils... what does that say about me?! lol I cook the old-fashioned way too :)

So nice seeing your Garden Bouquet and all your flower pictures.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Your floral talent is impressive. My maiden name will live on without any help from me but that's an interesting thought for having you maiden name live on. We have a grandson coming who so far is the only one to carry on my husband's last name.
ReplyDeleteNice collections!
WOW!!!!! Your garden bouquet is beautiful! Just awesome! Love your answers! Have a nice week!

Great quote!! Lovely photos! Thanks so much for joining in the Medley today! I enjoyed reading your answers!
ReplyDeleteGreat quote. Made me smile this morning. Loved reading your post Your bouquets are always so beautiful. So good to hear you cook the old fashion way. I use to be like that but now that it is just the hubby and myself sometimes it just works out to make things that are smaller and easier to cook. I still cook on Sundays a nice home cooked meal and a few days during the week. Home cook always is better if you can make that work.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day today.
Hugs,
Kris
I love that quote! I do a lot of erasing...hmmmm. My maiden name is almost gone also...makes me sad! Have a great one! Love and hugs!
ReplyDeleteOoooo, lovely images to match your answers! I've often felt the same way about maiden names for women. Mine is very plain vanilla, but if I had an unusual, interesting maiden name I think I would have kept it. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers :)
ReplyDeleteMy family is the same with my maiden name. So many girls. I have three cousins with the name, but it will end with them. It does make me sad.
I collect all things from the sea too! Best hobby ever!!!! That pencil quote is hillarious...I used to eat the eraser off...does that count?!?! HA~!
