What I love about having a herb garden is the convenience of walking out on my deck and picking herbs to make infused water. We enjoy a refreshing drink in the summer and you can not beat a great combo of fruit and herbs.
Blueberry and Lemon Verbena
Cucumber and Peppermint
Orange and Basil
and our new favorite..
Strawberry and Chocolate Mint!
Do you have a favorite infused water combo?
Making infused water is easy.. add your fruit and herb and let sit for a couple of hours in the refrigerator. If you want more flavor squeeze your fruit and press the leaves of your herbs.
Add ice and enjoy!
Happy Summer
Sounds SO refreshing!! I got our daughter-in-law one of those infusing water bottles for Christmas one year.

I love infused water! I planted some mint and somebody got to it out in the garden! I didn't know critters liked mint! Oh well..there's more. We just got back from a few hotels that had the fancy infused water and I enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteOh this sounds so great for a hot summer day. Yummo! Happy Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteThe only infusion I have made is lice lemon tea and lemonade.
ReplyDeleteI love mint and use fresh herbs in my cooking all the time but haven't tried in a drink.
Thanks for the tip.

Oh, this makes me want to start my own herb garden. We have mint from my grandmother's garden...I think my mom took it from her yard back in 1970. Hearty plant!!
ReplyDeleteWhile I've never acquired a taste for the infused waters, I do love a good herb garden. I love fresh mint and basil! Love and hugs!
ReplyDeleteI always want to try and make infused water, and just never get it done. I'll be watching for herbs at the market this weekend and see what I can make!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried infused water, but that strawberry and chocolate looks so refreshing. Also I have never heard of chocolate mint. Need to look for some. I enjoyed your spring garden tour, your last post. It's so pretty.
ReplyDeleteSounds perfect, looks refreshing. I haven't done that in awhile but I'm definitely going to start again!
