a reminder to stop and pay attention to the little beauties and graces that make life magical and to set aside time for gratitude each day

 ♥ receiving a letter from a friend who I had not heard from in awhile... sometimes letters are best 

♥ pecan pie made with love for my husband's birthday

♥ cozy flannel sheets to snuggle in on cold, cold winter nights

♥ phone calls with family who live far away

♥  pink sunsets

  1. A letter! How wonderful! I'm a big fan of a real letter. My hubs loves a pecan pie too and wouldn't mind one for his birthday. He often asks for pie instead of cake, and I think I prefer it too. Stay warm!!

  6. Getting a letter from your friend is so nice, Carla. It's wonderful getting notes and cards through the mail. Your pecan pie sounds delightful. You know, it is one of my favorite pies. Those flannel sheets really make things nice and warm through these cold winter days. Love the bird nest, and I'm glad those birds found a haven to protect themselves this winter. It's always a joy for me to read your "joy list" posts, Carla.

  10. I like this. I'm trying to find gratitude each day. Glad you liked the letter you got. Yum on the pecan pie. Flannel sheets are the best and we use them all year round. We just really like them. I usually get text messages from family far away but yes, the calls are awesome. Enjoy your week.
