Book Review

The storm of 1913 - White Hurricane
Four days of winds up to 90 miles an hour, whiteout blizzard conditions and mountainous seas, 19 ships had been lost on the Great Lakes
238 sailors died

This was a sad story, because of all the sailors that died. I enjoyed the stories of the men and women that helped each other survive. The rescue attempts by brave men. The weather and how it can change so quickly along the Great Lakes.
If you enjoy the Great Lakes and Maritime history you will enjoy this book.

  2. I can't imagine living through a time of tragedy...my heart goes out to victims of anything. 238 lives lost...how sad. Its good to read nonfiction...though. =)
