What is Up Doc?
Last week was a whirl wind. I was preparing for the Cameron Street Sale and for my parents to come stay with us for the weekend.
On Friday morning I was feeling very good about my To Do List.
√
√
Making my check marks √.
Then all of a sudden Friday morning a freak thunderstorm came rolling in. A lighting strike hit straight down in our back yard!
The lighting hit our bird feeder, followed the internet cable, blew the internet cable, continued into the house, blowing the T.V. cable, router, our boys alarm clock and the Christmas lights they have in their room.
Talk about crazy, freaky and just plain spooky!!
Thankfully we are all fine. Our home is fine. We have to have a new cable put in this week. Our internet company will take care of that. Of course a new T.V. , router , and so on.
On to Saturday and The Cameron Street Sale.
My mom and dad made it to our house fine on Friday. They also had a storm to wait out before leaving. They arrived on Friday night and we had a fun dinner and got ready for Saturday morning.
My mom and dad setting up my mom's craft booth.
My booth has fresh cut flower's in bunches and jars.
Gourds, broom corn and decorative corn stalks.
It was a great day for us. My mom and I both did very well at the Street Sale.
Thank You to all of you for the support during the week.
And Thank You to my friends who came out on Saturday and supported my mom and I.

Carla, I can only image how scary that strike was. Especially come in the cables. Hope your home owner's covers all the damage. Glad your parents made it in time for a good dinner and Saturday's street sale. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteThat was a scary thing with the lightning strike. Glad you made it to the sale. They fresh flowers are very nice. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're safe after your storm, sounds very scary. Great news about your sale xx
ReplyDeleteGlad the fair was a success! I bet you had fun with your mom. I saw your lightening hit on Instagram, but didn't realize it came all the way into the house. That's terrifying.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad no one was hurt. What a frightening experience. I also glad you and your parents did so well at the street sale. It must have been so much fun doing this together.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Hugs, Julia
Good grief!! A freak accident of nature. It even burned the DIRT!! You were home when it struck? Did the lights flicker? Did it make a huge noise? I think I would have gone running and screaming out into the street! But of course that would have been the worst thing to do. On the plus side, you get to shop for a new T.V.!! Your booth looks so inviting.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great crafts sale! That's so nice your parents came out too. The thunderstorm sounded very SCARY! I'm glad you guys were ok!!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, your flowers are gorgeous. You know how much I love flowers, and I wish I could be a customer! I'm happy you had a great time with your folks, and also thankful no one was hurt from the lightning. One of my daughter's friends was killed on an Alabama beach from lightning two weeks ago, and our whole community has been in mourning. I'm scared to death of it!

Well I'm glad the sale went well after the disruption and that you're all ok. How scary.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I can't believe that happened. What a mess that had to be. Glad all is well now. Glad your parents visited and that the street sale went well.
ReplyDeleteI'd say I'm jealous of you getting a storm because of the precipitation (we are so dry, dry, dry here) ... but then to have a lightening strike like that! Yikes! I'm glad you're all OK! That happened to our next-door neighbors at our old neighborhood many years ago. Yes, it is freaky and scary! Glad the sale went well for you and your mom. :)
ReplyDeleteOh- that is scary, isn't it? We once had lighting strike through a window and into our bathtub popping the tile off the wall and the room forever after smelled of sulphur. So scary.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that your parents did so well at the craft sale- it makes it worth while to set up when you have a good show.
Have a wonderful rest of the week and pop by to sign up for my give-away if you have time. xo Diana
Glad your market stalls went well. Would have been rather scary with that lightening strike!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I'm thankful you and your family weren't hurt and no fires started! That is scary! The craft and garden tables look great! Glad to hear it went well. :-) Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Jill
Wow about the lightening. That is scary. So sorry. Glad the rain cleared out and you had a great day for the sale. Glad you and your mom did well.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
Oh that storm sounds awful! Glad you all are okay, and your house. That is scary. I would love to have been at the street sale...as a vendor or a shopper. Glad you and your mom had a good day.
ReplyDeleteThat storm sounds scary! WOW! So glad everybody was okay. Your street sale sounded wonderful - I'm so so glad you and your Mom did well!
ReplyDeleteWow!!! How scary to have that lightning strike, and carry through your house knocking out so many devices. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteYour street sale looks like so much fun. Glad it went well :)
Wow! I'm glad that you're all alright, but geez, what a scare that must have been. And having to replace all of what was damaged. What a pain.
ReplyDeleteYour booths look great and I'm so glad you both did well and I'm happy to hear that your dad is doing better. Something like that certainly makes us remember to savor the days, doesn't it?
Sending you big hugs, my friend!
Scary lightning strike! Glad you had a good street sale.
ReplyDeleteOmg! How scary is that? Something you won't soon forget I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteYour set up at the fair looks fabulous and I'm not surprised you did well. It makes all the work worthwhile I'm sure,
