An unpublished novel by Harper Lee is to finally see the light of day,
60 years after the US author put it aside to write To Kill a
Mockingbird.
My husband and I both love To Kill a Mockingbird.
Yes, we named our son Atticus after Atticus Finch.
I am so excited to read another novel by Harper Lee.
I heard a rumor about that book, Carla, I hope it's true!
ReplyDeleteSo fun!! My book club is reading "To Kill A Mockingbird" and I was wondering if that's where you got your son's name too. It's my first time reading it!! I saw that about the other novel coming out and I'm excited about it.
ReplyDeleteJust reading pink grapefruit and pink lemonade makes me pucker!
ReplyDeleteCross country skiing sounds like quite a workout. We like to go sledding when it snows. We still have a lot of snow on the ground and it doesn't look like it will be melting anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteI've heard some mixed info about the Harper Lee book. I saw something today that said this might be getting published without Ms. Lee's full understanding or against her wishes. I hope publishers aren't taking advantage of her. I'm not sure how I feel about bringing the characters into today. I do hope the choice is hers though, and I'm sure I'll read it.
ReplyDeleteOh, I wish I could ski and enjoy it. I had one experience at age 16 and that was "all she wrote." It makes me happy to see others doing it, though.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Joyce on the Harper Lee book. I loved To Kill a Mockingbird (and love the name Atticus).
Interesting how you met your hubby. Janice
ReplyDeleteOh, my favorite fish is pink Salmon Almondine and I ate some l a few weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteI'm always tickled pink when blogger read my blog and leave some comments from the heart.
Hugs,
JB
