I recently read a post by Susan Branch. She shared some advice she received from her dad.
I wanted to share it with you during this Christmas season.
As you know, there is a lot of worry in the world these days ~ but you can help!
Do what my dad told me.
"Be an elf.
Wear a cute hat, a colorful sweater, smile at strangers, cheer people up."
You are your own best gift!
I've noticed people that are walking the trails or riding bikes are especially friendly lately. I love that! It makes a hike even better! Happy December my friend!
ReplyDeleteAww I love this!!
ReplyDeleteBasically, spread cheer! This is wonderful advise, and anyone can do it!! We need to let our lights shine!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Happiness is contagious...
ReplyDeleteGood advice.
ReplyDeleteI never thought of being an elf. But I'm not against it.

I love the idea of cheering people up. I can picture you as just that elf, with your big authentic smile of authentic caring.
ReplyDeleteWe need more people like you.
Happy Advent.
Hugs, Julia
Great advice! I need to find my cute hat . . .
ReplyDeleteThat's good advice. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this! The world would be a much better place if everyone was their own elf.
ReplyDeleteA lovely post.
ReplyDeleteSpread a smile and some happiness both can be contagious :)
All the best Jan
Great advice! I was watching people in the store the other day and told Cliff that we need to spread a little joy while we are out and about!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely message.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet. Thank you for sharing.
