Hello Friends,
The garden is busting. Each day it changes, new blooms and new growth.
I will give you a little tour.
Above are our onions, I am concerned I planted the onions too deep?
Let us move on to the flowers...
The front garden. I have worked on this garden to have never ending blooms from early spring to late autumn. I am so pleased with how it is looking this season.
Looking at the below photo you will see this gardeners feet and her prize cabbage. Oh how excited I am to make fresh from the garden coleslaw, one of my favorite summer harvest treats.
We have been eating fresh strawberries daily, picking some to add to our morning breakfast or to add into our drinks.
Our roses are having a fantastic season, as you walk past our climbing rose you can hear, buzz, buzz, buzz, it is loaded with bees.

Good Morning. Your front garden is gorgeous. Glad you are getting to see all your hard work turn into such beauty. Fresh from the garden veggies are always so yummy. Have a great start to the new week. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteYour garden sounds like a little paradise bursting with life, color, and flavor! I love your goal of endless blooms, and that cabbage is impressive!
ReplyDeleteThe buzzing roses, fresh strawberries, and poetic ending tie it all together beautifully. Nature’s rhythms and simple joys are truly the heart of summer living.
I immediately thought of my sister-in-law when I saw the picture of your front garden. She would LOVE it. I love fresh from the garden veggies!!
ReplyDeleteI love your garden, it's my favorite kind...full of never ending blooms! The roses are gorgeous and those cabbages are amazing! Yummy!! Love the sweet strawberries that you can pick each day. Sounds dreamy!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that last pink flower, is that a rose or peony? Your garden is coming alive this summer with so many surprises for you. The purple flowers remind me of Fall. How wonderful that your cabbage will bring coleslaw this summer. And you can use those onions for so many dishes. Your garden is delightful, Carla.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have many happy July days.

The cabbages are huge and gorgeous! And I love the purple Clematis. And the wonderful stone border of your flower garden. Ginny
ReplyDeleteYour garden is bursting with joy, filled with an abundance of delicious produce just waiting to be enjoyed. Every corner of your home and the front yard garden reflects the dedication and hard work you've poured into nurturing them. Wishing you a wonderfully happy July, Carla!
ReplyDeleteIt's all looking great! I love, love, love the Roses! And the Poppy...I keep trying, so one of these days I hope to have success with them, even with my limited sunny spots. Enjoy the onions: I plop them all around the garden and thin them out over time...using the first ones as scallions. Yum!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful flower garden. Would love some of that cabbage myself too! I do miss my roses. but too many snakes here and they would be hanging around more shedding their skin on the thorns...like they did with my barberry shrubs...which I had to get rid of. UGH i hate snakes. Janice
ReplyDeleteCarla, everything is so beautiful in your garden! I loved seeing your pictures and reading your captions. You are going to have a bountiful harvest and before then you get to feast your eyes on the beauty of your flowers. Well done and thanks for sharing- keep the progress posts coming :).
ReplyDeleteYou my friend have an emerald colored thumb!! I am pea green with envy. Your flowers are so colorful and your cabbage is huge! I wish we lived closer, I'd come to your garden for a smile and nibble!! Heehee!! xo
ReplyDelete... eating fresh strawberries daily, definitely delightful and delicious :)
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks great.
All the best Jan
So much beauty and deliciousness, Carla! Thank you for the tour.
ReplyDeleteYou garden looks amazing!! We are struggling in keeping up with ours. Between all the rain, the heat, and how busy our mini farm now keeps us, the garden is suffering. We planted much less than normal, but hoping we can manage what we do have.
ReplyDeleteWow, your garden is amazing! Yum on the things you get to eat.
