Be sure to bring some bug spray! |
It is Wednesday and that means it is time for the Hodgepodge.
Joyce asks the questions.
We answer the questions.
1. What's an adult problem nobody prepared you for?
Time management.. where do the days go?
Actually my grandpa warned me about it, he would say "the older you get the faster the day goes" he just forgot to prepare me for it.
2. How tuned in are you to all the recent food related health news? Have you gotten rid of your scratched cookware? Did you pay attention to food additives before they made the news? What's one healthy eating/cooking/food shopping habit you need to adopt?
I am somewhat tuned in. We do not have any scratched cookware that I am aware of? We have used cast iron for years and years.
Yes, we did pay attention to the food additives before they made the news... but now I know way more.
Seed oils are an area that I need to look at more during my shopping.
3. What's getting worse and worse as you get older? How about better and better?
My eye sight is getting worse and worse. I wear progressive glasses, it is a complicated relationship that we have.
Better, I have gotten better at saying, No, to things I do not enjoy doing. And that has taken a long, long time to get better at.
4. Are you more of an indoor person or an outdoor person? Elaborate.
I am an outdoor person.
You can find me..
in the garden
paddling on the water
hiking in the woods
snowshoeing
skiing
or
sitting on the porch with a good book.
5. If you had an expert personal assistant today, what would you have them do?
I have a stack of clothes to be ironed. I do not like to iron... so personal assistant where are you??
6. Insert your own random thought here.
We need the tonic of wildness..
We can never have enough of nature.
Henry David Thoreau
I love the quote by Thoreau! So true. I dislike ironing and tend to do it in a big bunch. My hubs excels at ironing and doesn't mind the task so if I need something pressed last minute he's glad to do it. He has been known to run the iron over a shirt he pulls from a dry cleaning bag where it has just been professionally ironed lol. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYour grandpa was right about time. As for preparing you for it, it may just be one of things you have to experience to realize how true it is :). Your pictures are so good as always. Love the middle one especially. I love how much you love the outdoors! I do, too, but I also really like being inside :). Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYour grandpa is so right. Seems like time goes by to fast. Especially when I see how quickly my grandchildren are growing. I hate to iron too. I do not mind doing laundry but I don't iron!
ReplyDeleteHave a great rest of the week. Hugs. Kris
Your Grandpa was right, the days seem to go so quickly, I've noticed it more the older I have got.
ReplyDeleteI said the same about my eyesight, I really need to get my eyes tested.
I have stopped ironing. lol I try to hang things and buy clothes which don't need ironing.
So true on time management. I do think it is important to watch for those food additives. Sorry about your eye sight but I can relate and saying no is never easy. Yes, you are definitely an outside person for sure. Good choice on the ironing. Love your random thought. (my post sucks today but it went through so I'm going to leave it.)
ReplyDeleteMy husband has been telling me about the seed oils.
