Baked Oatmeal

Do you need a new idea for breakfast?
We tried Baked Oatmeal, and it was a hit. Let us know what you think.
Baked Oatmeal
Gather the following
1/2 cup oil
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 cups dry oatmeal
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
cinnamon

In a large bowl, stir together oil, sugar, eggs, oatmeal, baking powder and salt. Add milk to mixture and mix well. Pour mixture into greased 9x9 inch glass pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon to taste. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until brown.
Dish up and add fruit. Yummy! We added blueberries and peaches.
Enjoy!

  1. We love Baked Oatmeal. I stumbled upon the recipe years ago and my family (except my husband) loves it. It's unfortunately really fattening though. That's why it tastes so good. We pour milk on it.

Not much snow here either. We've basically had two good snows this winter, once on opening day of deer hunting season and once on New Year's Eve. The UP has more snow than we do but I'm not sure how much. I heard there might be a website that gives skiing conditions in Northern Wisconsin but I haven't looked for it.
A decision about BATB hasn't been made yet. Hopefully it happens, but if the ice is as bad as it was last year, I will probably walk across. If you guys do BATB, you're welcome to stay at our house. It would be fun to visit in person.
