The Best Chocolate Bar in the World

Oh my! If you like dark chocolate, you will love this candy bar. I was suppose to wait and try this with my family, my husband and two boys.
I was busy canning carrots. This candy bar was looking at me! I was looking at it!
My youngest son was home with me. My husband and older son were away. I asked my youngest "Atticus, should we try the Marzipan Chocolate bar?" "No Mom, we are suppose to wait for Dad and Sam" he replied.
Yes, that is right! I say this to myself as I continue to can carrots.
Finally, I decided I could try just one small part of the bar. I am working so hard canning carrots.
I do eat one small square and then just one more to confirm that it is the best dark chocolate bar I have ever eaten in my life!
Jeremy and Sam come home. They share all the fun news they have. Then I share mine. "While I was busy canning carrots, that new candy bar we got, well it was calling me to eat some of it"

How about you, what is your favorite candy?

  1. This is SO funny, cuz when I saw the title on my Blogger dashboard, I thought, 'Oh Carla, you ain't tasted chocolate til you've had Ritter!' and then I saw your post. You are SO right. There's no chocolate like it, and the Dark Chocolate with Marzipan is only surpassed by their Dark Chocolate with Hazelnuts! I buy one to keep in the kitchen drawer to have on Sunday afternoons. I try to eat just a half, but sometimes it's not possible. lol

  2. I've never heard of Marzipan and I'm not a dark chocolate fan but I have experienced candy calling my name. Very wise of you to take a few extra bites to verify your inital findings.

  3. That is hilarious. I love that while you were doing something healthy...some chocolate was tempting you and that your son tried to be the voice of reason. On behalf of all the moms out there, I am so glad you took a well deserved bite...I would have eaten the entire thing :)

  4. You had me at marzipan and chocolate! I will have to try this. You know, I didn't used to be a fan of chocolate (shocking, I know!) and then I got pregnant and baby wanted Snickers 24/7! I'm agreeing with Amy about eating just the 2 squares....I once ate all the Kit Kats and Reeses from kid's Halloween stash while they were sleeping! Oh the shame!
