The issue isn't controlling circumstances or other people, the goal is controlling me. I can not control the weather, but I can control whether I let it ruin my day. The Spirit nudges me to choose joy. I can not control anyone's mood or behavior, but I can control how I react. The Spirit equips me to respond with love and patience anyhow. I can not control my loved ones' health, but I can control how I steward it, then accept God's will for their bodies. The Spirit enables me to be faithful and peaceful regardless.
