In a struggle to learn to overcome her fiery temper and selfish spirit, Ruth is lead to the discovery of a very important Shepherd who can and does teach her (and others) how to be good. Author, Patricia St. John does a wonderful job creating a story to grab young readers.

    I remember reading that to our kids years ago. All her books are wonderful! Although we read them all, I think that 'Star of Light' was my favorite. They probably liked 'Treasures of the Snow' best, or maybe 'Rainbow Garden' or maybe the one you're reading. Actually, they loved them all.

    Our daughters used to enjoy Patricia St.John....in fact as a family we occasionaly read one aloud. Rich memories! Reading is so special.
