What do you get for a friend who likes to leave for Texas during the Wisconsin Winter?
Our friend, Marv, heads for Texas in November. He leaves Wisconsin Winters behind. One of his favorite things to do is call us during our coldest days.
Ring, Ring
"Hello"
"Oh, yes, Carla, this is Marv. I wanted to let you know it is 80 degrees here and I had to turn on the fan today."
"Wise Guy! It is - 20 degrees here! With a wind chill!!"
I got this idea, why don't I save Marv a little bit of Wisconsin Winter for him.
So back in January, the boys made up some snowballs, we placed them in the freezer.
Marv's birthday is in July.
We celebrated his birthday last weekend.
I love the laugh he busted out with!
Snowballs for your birthday! |
Happy Summer!
I will be out of the office this week.
Taking time to visit family, friends and a few adventures on the way.
I will be back before the snow flies.

ReplyDeleteAwesome, thoughtful, funny gift! He has a great smile! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that!!! And it looks like he enjoyed it also. I saved some of our snow for my little granddaughter so that she could make a snowman when they visited us in March. She had never seen snow "in person" before and was amazed! Just love this Carla....what a "cool" gift!
ReplyDeleteToooo funny and so cute. Ha ha! My mom lives in Florida and she will call me during the winter and tell me that she had to put the heat on it dropped to 60. I just laugh and tell her when it hits 60 here we are flinging open the windows for fresh air. This was a cute post. Have a great day Carla.

Carla, it's so nice to see the wintery cold weather because it's very hot here this summer. Your friend Marv does have a wonderful smile, and I bet he loved the gift of snowballs for his birthday. Love your sweet snowman.
ReplyDeleteI also loved your comment about being a mama bear with your boys. I am very protective too, but I have always referred to myself as a lion with her cubs hehehe.
