Hello Friends,
Today, I am going to introduce you to Mrs. Tilly aka Sweet Girl.
Mrs. Tilly is our big garden tiller. Mrs. Tilly is a hodgepodge of tiller parts and other accessories that my husband has put together to keep Mrs. Tilly going.
To keep Mrs. Tilly going, that is where our story will begin.
You see, Mrs. Tilly and my husband do not really like each other. Mrs. Tilly does not like to start and stay running for my dear husband.
I of course told Jeremy the reason this was! It is because he just does not show Mrs. Tilly the love she needs. I witnessed him kick her one time. Gasp! How rude!
I shared with him, "Why not call her Sweet Girl, when trying to start her up."
Maybe that will help.
Yes, he looked at me like I was crazy.
Mrs. Tilly only gets used once a year and she sits the rest of the year in the yard barn. She needs to know how much she is appreciated. I appreciate her! I need our garden tilled and I need her to keep chugging along.
Thankfully this year, Mrs.Tilly started right up and only died two or four times on Jeremy. I only saw him kick her once. They seemed to get along a little better this spring. I did not hear him say "Sweet Girl" to Mrs. Tilly. I do wonder if the relationship would change for the better if he did.
Mrs. Tilly is all cleaned up and put back in her spot in the yard barn. Waiting for next spring.
Have a great weekend!
♥

Yay for Mrs. Tilly! These are such cute pics of your garden "boy". ;)
ReplyDeleteLove these pics! Nothing like appreciation for a great, solid piece of machinery! She looks like she gets the job done!
ReplyDeleteWell it looks like Mrs. Tilly does a fine job. Look how nicely she tilled the garden spot. You sure have nice dark rich looking soil. I worked in the garden this morning, until it got too hot and humid! Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Tilly would make mudpies out of my yard and garden. Your garden looks much better than that❣I think I have a few of her distant relatives (contrary weed eaters) taking up valuable space in my shed. Happy gardening❣Linda@Wetcreek Blog
ReplyDeleteA kind word never hurts! lol
ReplyDeleteYour soil looks great.
I am wishing you a marvelous weekend and keeping you in my prayers. All the best! xoxo
Men just have no idea how a lady wants to be treated!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteLOL, oh I had to laugh - we do not have a rotatiller yet, but my husband dreads every spring when we have to rent one as it is a lot of hard work, and it seems like every rotatiller has its issues... Well, I'm glad Mrs. Tilly aka Sweet Girl and your husband persevered to get the garden plowed! Tis very important work they have done!!!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Tilly works her little heart out and is red. I like her.

I have this exact relationship with my sewing machine!! Sadly, though, my machine is not red. I think that would take some of the sting out of it when he bites me! ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL Carla. Glad Miss Tilly was feeling much more appreciated and started right up for your hubby. I bet you will be so excited to see your garden grow!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week end.
Kris
Hahaha! You are so funny, Carla!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the bed all planted up!
Yes, I know you're thankful for Mrs. Tilly! My Great-grandpa used a mule and a plow. They didn't always get along either :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great contraption she is!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like an awesome piece of machinery, Carla. And it looks like Mrs. Tilly gets the job done. These are very nice pictures of your husband working so hard in the garden for you.

Oh Carla, I loved reading this, and your photo's too, are great
ReplyDeleteJust a lovely post
All the best Jan
I love that "she" has a name!
ReplyDeleteWe use our tiller through the first couple months of the garden, and the "new" used girl we got last year, is not cooperating this year. Acting somewhat like Mrs. Tilly. I think Cliff and Jeremy both need to talk nicer and sweeter and the tillers would be more cooperative :)
