Joy List Monday

Joy List Monday
♥  a weekly ritual ♥

a reminder to stop and pay attention to the little beauties and graces that make life magical and to set aside time for gratitude each day

The past week our local community shared some horrible times.
The love and brotherhood we witnessed and participated in as a community, I have no words to express. It does make one believe in the human heart after such sadness.

Joy List Monday ... I am thankful to all of you, who shared concern, prayed and thought of our community, the officers family and our heroes in blue.
Thank You!

♥ trick or treat night .... we helped our church with our Fall Festival ... another great evening
looking at all the fun costumes the children put together
creativity and fun
Mary Poppins was my favorite costume of the night

♥ November sun ... our weather has been so beautiful, high in the 70's this past weekend
November can be our cloudy month, so thankful for the warm sun this past week

♥ visiting my parents ... checking up with my dad
my parents live about two hours away
my dad recently had oral surgery
he is not healing very well on one side of his mouth
thankful to visit and cheer him up

♥ still picking flowers .... marigold, zinnia and carnations
carnations? yes, I grew carnations this year ... a blog post coming soon

Happy Monday
 ♥

  3. I can't wait to see your carnations, Carla. They are really one of my favorite flowers. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad not healing well with his oral surgery. Will say a prayer for him. This picture of your cat is so cute. Yes, November is such a pretty month. Cold, but its nature is beautiful.

    Have a wonderful week, Carla.

  6. Our community suffered a terrible loss this week too, but the way people came together to support the family was outstanding.

  8. sending good wishes to you that whatever problems occurred in your community have resolved. Nor sure what they involved but we've been tested here in my area, very close to home as well.

Praying for your father and his recovery.

  9. Such a sad event for your community. So glad you still have flowers to brighten the day, my young plants are getting a really good battering from the wind at present.
    Hope your Dad recovers soon.

  10. I know your visit cheered-up your dad. I love zinnias, and I know that yours are pretty. I enjoyed your garden posts this spring and summer!

Thinking about you and your state today. Wisconsin could determine the election!

  11. Good morning Carla. Love your Joy List. Wow growing carnations how cool is that. Glad your community is pulling together to heal during such a tragic and hard time. If any good can come out of this type of violence it is good to see that our human hearts still can help each other. Still praying for that young family. So tragic.
Hope your dad starts to feel better. I have had oral surgery and it is no fun especially when healing takes awhile. Hugs to him. Glad you could visit him to cheer him up. Have a great week.
    Hugs,
    Kris
