About The River

She gave us one last story ..

 She was my first dog.
Her name was Molly.
We walked many miles.
She went canoeing and rafting with me.
She would garden with me.
She would snuggle with me.
She would listen to me .. when I vented out loud with no one else around.

She gave me stories to share on The River.

She was 13 1/2 years old.
She truly was this girls best friend.

RIP
My Molly
♥ thank you for the memories ♥

I recently shared a story about Molly, click the above link to read.

A Faithful Dog
A faithful dog will play with you and laugh with you or cry.
He will gladly starve to stay with you and never reason why.
When you are feeling out of sorts somehow he will understand.
He will watch you with his shinning eyes and try to lick your hand.
His blind, implicit faith in you is matched by his great love
the kind that all of us should have in the Master up above.
When everything is said and done I guess this isn't odd for when you spell DOG backwards you get the name of God.

  5. I am so very sorry. I remember this story about Molly and the walk; it is extraordinary. She looks a bit like my first dog, who died at about the same age. You gave her a wonderful life, full of adventure!

  6. Oh, Carla. I am so very, very sorry. My heart aches for you. You do know the piece about the rainbow bridge though, right? I just went back and read "the walk" story. What happy memories you made with her and I hope, that once your tears dry, you will have many smiles that fill your heart when you think of her. Love to you- xo Diana

  7. There is nothing like that sweet, loyal, unconditional love of a dog. I'm so sorry Molly is no longer with you, but so glad she and you had such wonderful years together. God blesses us in so many ways, and one of them is through that sweet relationship we have with our pets as we serve God by being good stewards of his creation.

  9. Oh Carla so sorry for your loss. They really are part of our lives and part of our families. I know the overwhelming heartache you are having with losing Cooper. I am glad you have those wonderful memories of her. Time does not make the pain and loss go away but it does have a way of making it more tolerable. I can assure you of that. Your Molly is the same age as our Grand dog Charlie that is a Boston. He is starting to fail and we love him so much. I just pray he can hang in with us a little longer. Boston's are the best little dogs. Carla I wish I lived closer to come and give you a hug.
    I am so sorry.
    xoxo

  16. Carla, thank you for telling me about Molly. I'm so sorry I missed this last week. I know the heartbreak you're going through. I know how your life now has such a hole in it and that everywhere you look she is missing and it hits you again. And to have had her as your constant companion for so many years will give you so many happy memories as time goes by but right now there's just all this pain in your heart. Reading the story of Molly going ahead on her walk without you, now knowing that she is no longer with you, was heartbreaking and yet very very sweet. I'll be thinking of you and your whole family in the days ahead. Even the neighbors will miss seeing Molly going for her walk.

    Sending you a hug,
    Dewena
