Using paper, decoupage medium, hot glue and embellishments
my son and I created these fun eggs.
Using Paper Mache eggs was my original plan. Sadly, I could not find any in our local craft store. I did find an assortment of decorative eggs By: Ashland. This ended up being more fun because we had three sizes of eggs to work with in this assortment.
Strips of old sheet music, strips of fun fabric and pretty paper were used to cover the eggs.
We used stickers, pearls, flowers, buttons and ribbon to decorate our eggs.
I tried to make a butterfly with a strip of sheet music and wire.
This was a fun project. It does require a day for the decoupage eggs to dry before you can decorate with your embellishments.

ReplyDeleteThese are stunning! So unique, and I love the music theme. They make such a dramatic and beautiful effect. Thanks for telling me about Penelope! Our Simba loves being in the same room with us, too.

ReplyDeleteOh, fun! Good idea for something to do inside in this muddy (and now snowy!) weather.
ReplyDeleteAww, your Easter eggs turned out so cute.
ReplyDeleteYou got really creative with your Easter eggs. I think they will last for a long time. I used to paint scenes on eggs when the kids were small. I had a
ReplyDeletelittle basket of eggs in the bathroom on top of the toilet tank and one of the kids friends accidentally knocked them down and broke them all. My girls loved those special eggs and were pretty upset. I never painted eggs after that but always wanted to paint more but was just too busy with my business.
Take care, Hugs, Julia
How cute are these Carla. What a fun project to do with your son too. I did these a few years ago with pretty napkins.
