Hello Friends,
The above garden is one of the gardens I helped design at the Teaching and Display Gardens with my Master Gardener Volunteer group.
The above is the Sunflower Patch that my friend Sheila and I designed. Sheila's mom is our sweet model in the photo.
We thought it would be fun to create a sunflower patch for families to take photos in among the sunflowers. The sunflowers are just starting to open in the photos.
This week we will be hosting our Twilight Garden Tour at the gardens.
Annual Twilight Tour in the Teaching and Display Garden Tuesday, August 13, 4:00 to Twilight Features guest speakers, demonstrations, displays, vegetable tastings
I also have two other garden events I will be attending and helping with this week.
So with all that this week I will be in the garden.. I will be back soon my friends.
Have a great week and come to the Twilight Tour if you are local or want to take a road trip to Wisconsin.
♥

I love sunflowers and these photos are spectacular! What a pretty lady among the summery blooms! I just got my car fixed...it's a long story. I feel FREE now...just maybe not free enough to drive that far! heehee! If I do...I'll let you know! lol
ReplyDeleteCarla, You are so right. That is a perfect photo spot. I love it. My daughter just sent me a photo pf her and her hubby in a sunflowers garden....but there was no place to sit, it is in the background. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI wish I could come! I love that you planted a sunflower garden for photos! I finally got to a sunflower field to do a photoshoot of my special model and the photos really are beautiful. There were so many families taking photos as well. It's such a busy garden time for you! I'm losing interest in mine (and watering them!) right now but my morning glories just started blooming so that makes me happy!
ReplyDeleteThis sunflower garden idea is brilliant! Finding sunflowers to pose with is not an easy thing! One usually has to tromp through a field, and it can be hard to get the tall sunflowers in the picture along with the people. I hope you have lots of fun with your events, I know you will!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!! I love sunflowers! They have been sparse down here this year and the ones I have seen are unusually small! Hope you have a great day! Love and hugs!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a lovely garden, and what a nice idea to have a sunflower patch. I love sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to be able to say that you helped to create such beauty. Your talents are a true gift and everyone who gets to share the view is so lucky. Enjoy the week, it sounds wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea. I love this setting and I can imagine seeing a lovely newly wed couple posing for a wedding photo among the sunflowers. Your model is so lovely.
