Joy List Monday

♥ a weekly ritual ♥
a reminder to stop and pay attention to the little beauties and graces
that make life magical and to set aside time for gratitude each day

♥ watching our one and only watermelon grow

♥ tomatoes, tomatoes and more tomatoes

soaking in the last of summer..
as the colors in the garden turn to more oranges, yellows and purples

 ♥ celebrating a 70th birthday
 ♥ 50th wedding anniversary

Enjoy your week my friends.

This week Sam starts college classes.
Next week Atticus starts his senior year of high school.

Labor Day Weekend is fast approaching, we are spending time with family and hanging on to summer!

I will be back soon!

  1. Happy anniversary and birthday. Sweet mommy, your boys grew up. Wow, college for one and senior grade for one. I know there must have been times when you thought this would never happen, then poof, here it is and they are grown. Squeeze them and tell them you love them every chance you get. Blessings to all of you, xoxo, Susie
p.s. hope your military son is doing well too.

  2. It's hard to believe how fast the boys have grown already. I see the same thing in my grandkids and great grandkids. They grow as fast as weeds.

Happy Birthday and Anniversary to the lovely couple. Great milestones to celebrate.
I hope you don't have raccoons around your place because they will wait until that melon is ripe and they will eat it. It happened to me and I was so disappointed. I never got to eat a single on in my patch.

Seeing the end of summer coming to a close is bittersweet. I love that's it's getting cooler but don't like it when it gets cold. It's hard on the arthritis.
I bet your gardens are in their full glory now.
    Hugs, Julia

  3. Sounds like a good list, Carla. What do you do with your tomatoes? Do you can?

  4. What a wonderful list, Carla! Looks like a lot to celebrate! Good luck to the boys on a new year...exciting times ahead for you all!

  5. You really do have so much to celebrate and enjoy! We are blessed! Hugs!

  6. Is it your parents 50th anniversary? Ours is this year! Your garden has so many beautiful fruits and flowers! What is the flower in the fourth picture, foxglove?

  7. Enjoy your time,. I'm taking some time away too after this week. That's exciting about Sam's college classes. Is that your parents in the 50th anniversary photo? I thought that first photo was a pumpkin!

  8. Wow Sam is getting so much life experience. Yeah for him. College now after boot camp. You are so proud I know. He is going to do such great things in this life. Atticus being a senior this year too. Wow how grown they are getting. They seem so young when I first met you through blogging. Now they are growing into young men. Love your joy lists each Monday sometimes Tuesday lol depending on my email! Have a great start to the new week.

  9. Snapdragons - love those. Your boys are growing up so quickly. My daughter is off to University next year, currently doing the driving lesson thing with her.

    Happy Labour Day weekend.

  10. LOVE those gorgeous flowers Carla! You do have a magic touch! I love the watermelon and tomatoes also. While you may have just one watermelon, it is a beauty!! Love and hugs sweet friend!

  11. A birthday, anniversary, new academic milestones, and a thriving garden... you have goodness flowing all around you. How wonderful.

  12. Wonderful photos of your veggies. We just cut a watermelon up today!

  13. I was just thinking about the boys and wondered when classes would be starting for them. The summer has flown by!

  14. Just love the look of your vegetables.

Happy Labor Day and Happy September too.

    All the best Jan
