Happy Halloween Friends,
I decorated our home for Halloween on Saturday.
My mom has gifted me several of my Halloween decorations. She loves ceramics, my sister and I are the lucky ones to receive her beautiful accomplishments as gifts.
I love the smile on this Halloween Cat!
A Happy Jack o Lantern.
It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.
A family favorite and a must watch every season.
My mom gifted me the above pumpkin scarecrow many years ago. She went to Madison with my sister to World Dairy Expo. I helped my dad on the farm while they were on the trip. She gifted me "Bob" and he is a favorite of mine.
I like to use nature in my decorating.
Trick or Treat to you!
And speaking of Trick or Treat? Has your community decided on if Trick or Treat will be held this season? I have not heard regarding our little village of Cameron. I do know surrounding communities have decided to cancel Trick or Treat.
I'm visiting from Henny Penny Lane. You have some really cute decorations and everything looks fit for the season. Our little town is still doing Trunk R'Treat in the church parking lots, but not doing home to home Trick R' Treats. Many changes this 2020 year.
ReplyDeleteCute, cute decorations. I haven't put anything up yet. I'll probably get organized over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo did your mom make or paint some of these? I like them all! Especially the cat.
ReplyDeleteLove all your decorations especially Bob. What a cute pumpkin scarecrow he is. Have a great Wednesday. I can't believe it is almost Halloween. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteI think it's so sad to cancel trick or treating! :( I'm not sure what our township is doing. I love all of your sweet decorations!
ReplyDeleteI love the delicate sparkly pumpkin in your first picture! And the Boo candle holders with it--I had those holders for years on my front porch and just realized I don't know what happened to them in two moves. I feel so sad for children this year who can't go trick or treating. I hope parents will come up with substitute fun things to do when that happens. I have a few Halloween things up. For years I've used spooky old family pictures of relatives long gone in my Halloween decor but this year I've felt they were a little too spooky. Maybe by the 31st I'll get them out!
ReplyDeleteI saw your comment at Ginny's blog about your mom painting your Halloween cat and had to come by to see it as I love EVERYTHING Halloween!! I go crazy decorating for it too. My blog now is just about all for the season
ReplyDeleteI'm sure glad I stopped by to say hello! I enjoyed your 'weenish pieces very much
Cute Halloween decorations. I'm not decorating for Halloween this year but I have one decoration on my mantel that stayed there from last year.lol... Somehow it missed being put away. I haven't heard either if Halloween will be cancelled or not. Thanksgiving was low key so I imagine, Halloween will be low key as well as cases of Covid are going up in the province.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and well.
Hugs, Julia
Carla, The boys will be happy to see the familiar Halloween decorations out when they come home . So nice you have things your mommy made for you. Gosh my daughters would watch that movie every year. Thinking of it , tugs at my heart. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie
ReplyDeleteI love your decorations. I am always drawn to Indian corn!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what kids are doing here. We live in an older community so it's quiet after dark...every day! lol I see a wicker pumpkin and I have one just like it! Love your cute decorations!
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I love the scarecrow :) I just read that Viroqua has cancelled city wide trick or treating, haven't heard about my town though. We never get trick or treaters out here in the boonies, so Cliff just gets his own bag of candy!
ReplyDeleteI love your Halloween décor, it all looks so lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe grandchildren are looking forward to Halloween, although we are still not sure what form it will take ... restrictions/social distancing for Covid permitting.
Enjoy your weekend.
All the best Jan
