It is a Blue Hawaii Hodgepodge

Footprints on the beach

Hello Everyone, it is Wednesday and that means it is time for the Hodgepodge.

Joyce asks the questions.

We answer the questions.

 1. When does time pass slowly for you? When does time past quickly for you?

When I do not feel good time will pass slowly for me.

When I have time to spend with our kids, the time goes too fast.

 2. Do you have a favorite beach? What's your favorite 'beach' activity? Tell us what we'd find in your beach bag.

Wisconsin Point,  Lake Superior is my favorite beach.

I love to walk the beach looking for treasures.

In my beach bag you will find..

two beach towels, a bag for keeping treasures, water bottle, snacks and my camera.

 3. Your favorite book or movie with a beach setting?

Blue Hawaii with Elvis Presley

I watched this movie the first time with my grandparents, my grandpa would sing along, it was great fun and fantastic memories.

 4. What's a food you love, but find it's a pain to eat? Is it worth it?

Crab legs ... oh yes it is worth it.

 5.  Do you like roller coasters? What's the best (or worst) roller coaster you've been on?

I do not like roller coasters, I have never been on a roller coaster.

I know, how can I say I do not like roller coasters if I have never been on one. LOL!

6. Insert your own random thought here.

When two people love each other, they don't look at each other,

they look in the same direction.

Ginger Rogers

  2. We need to get you on a coaster, girl!! Come on down and I'll take you to Kings Island :). A bag for treasures is such a good idea. I usually have a bag or two in my beach bag for them as well. Have a great day!

  3. Blue Hawaii is a good one. I haven’t seen that movie in decades. Good answers and love the prints in the sand!

  4. Reading a great book, time flies! And ditto, time with the kids which is always so sweet. I can't name a favorite beach, but shell collecting is peaceful to me. CRAB-YES.

  5. I've never been to a beach on any of the great lakes. I think it would be so strange to see so much fresh water.

  6. hey Carla. love your random thought!! so true!! I love the beach in Panama City Florida.. certainly not the ones in Texas. Time does fly when I’m out enjoying dinner with Sam or with my friends.. but it is slow as can be on nights when I can’t sleep .. hugs

  7. The church my parents were members of when I was born had a woman in the choir with a wonderful voice. The pastor asked her to sing something special around the holidays and she sang Elvis's I'll Have A Blue Christmas Without You. My mom still laughs about that today. I feel like I need to see one of the great lakes somewhere in our travels. Hope you're having a great day!

  8. I love the ginger Rogers quote! I hate roller coasters, too. And I have never been on one either. And never will be. Same goes for ferris wheels and all other dizzy-making rides. I think they are not for seniors.

  9. You are the second person who mentions crab legs. I don't thing I've ever ordered them. I have ordered crab cakes and find them delicious. I can agree with your answers for the first question. Have a nice end of the week!

  11. Yep - I answered the same as you for the first question. There’s never enough time when it comes to visiting with my kids.

  12. We usually get crab legs on New Years Eve. It has been a tradition with us. Love them. I hate roller coasters, but did go on a few in my younger years...but no more. Not my thing. I would rather be out walking on a beach like you instead. Janice

  13. I love that quote and last photo. I used to love roller coasters but they don't love me anymore. I pretty much love every beach I've ever been to, some more than others. We drank some Blue Hawaiians in Hawaii.

  16. Love the Ginger Rogers quote, and I can't believe you've never been on a roller coaster. I mean I understand, because they can be scary, but I'm not sure I know another adult who's never been on one. The footprints on the beach are fun. :)

  17. Love that Ginger Rogers quote. I also hate roller coasters and have never been on one...but I get it!! I think we just know. I've never seen Blue Hawaii, I need to put it on my viewing list. Believe it or not, my favorite beach movie is Jaws., which as an islander is a little counterintuitive, I know!! Haha!
