Think Spring and it is the Hodgepodge

Winter is back in Wisconsin, our temperatures at night will be in the single digits this week and into next week.

Think Spring!

&

It is the Hodgepodge.

Joyce asks the questions.

We answer the questions.

1. Are you a naturally trusting person? Is trust built on logic or 'gut instinct'? Does everyone deserve a second chance? Elaborate.

I once was a naturally trusting person. I learned the painful way that some want to do you harm.

For me trust is built.

No, not all deserve a second chance.  One example .. sexual assault from someone you thought you could trust.

2. 'Beware the Ides of March'...March 15th on the ancient Roman calendar, these words were made famous by William Shakespeare in his play Julius Caesar.  Caesar was assassinated on March 15th 44 B.C. Have you read any Shakespeare? If so, do you have a favorite? Have you ever been to Rome?

I have read Shakespeare.

The Tempest is a favorite.

No, I have not been to Rome.

 3. Do you like a Caesar salad? If given the choice between a garden/house salad or Caesar which do you order? Anchovies or no? What's your favorite salad dressing?

I enjoy Caesar salad.

I will order the garden/house salad.

Yes to anchovies.

I enjoy a raspberry vinegar dressing.

 4. Where do you typically work (or blog if that's easier) at home? Do you have a dedicated home office space? Are you happy with that space?

We have a dedicated home office space. That is where I blog and do my other bookwork.

Yes, I do like my office area.

Ernie has a dog bed right next to my desk, he thinks the office space is just right too.

 5. Snow drops, daffodils, lenten roses, crocus, hyacinth, or early tulips...what's your favorite early Spring flower?

 I love daffodils.

Below is a spring bouquet to you from me.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

 “Thought is free.”

  1. What a gorgeous bouquet! I mentioned liking daffodils as well. They are "spring" to me. I said the same thing about second chances. It all depends. Have a great day, friend!

  2. Beautiful. Love that little Ernie has a place right next to your desk in the office. I love Daffodils. They are so cheerful. Have a great week. Hugs. Kris

  3. I too use to trust everyone and everything. Not no more. Caesar Salad. Yes please. My fav salad dressing is raspberry vineagrette. I do make it myself...along with strawberry and blueberry when in season. Ernie having a bed by your desk made me smile. Janice

  4. That bouquet is so beautiful, Carla! The colors are gorgeous. It's been in the 60s here for the past few days and I've been loving every minute of it. Sounds like we're getting some of your winter weather next week though...snow is back in the forecast. As far as flowers, go, I just adore those spring tulips, but that's no surprise, I'm sure!! xo

  5. AGREE (regarding number 1).
Love the bouquet. My faves are tulips followed by just about any wildflower.
I've read parts of The Tempest but the entire play.
    Happy Wednesday!

  6. Trust, that's hard one. I supposed "earned". Yes, we had to read 'Romeo and Juliet' freshman year of High School. I'd say 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' is a favorite. Rome is fantastic! Oh, so much to see, and the food and people are wonderful. Caesar salad, yes but typically house. Ernie's little spot sounds cozy. Daffodils.

  7. Oh no! That is a shame that it's cold with you again! I hope it warms up soon!
I feel exactly the same when it comes to trust.
Daffodils are such a cherry flower, I love them.

  8. How nice to have Ernie's bed right next to your desk! A perfect office mate:) Some days I really miss having a dog. And other days, I am very content with one. Sigh. So sorry that winter has returned Wisconsin. I don't WI is the only one. My friend in SD was sharing her snow photos from yesterday with me today. Oh but I hope it will stay far away from the east coast! Enjoy the rest of your week!!

  9. Thank you for the lovely spring bouquet! We cannot grow daffodils or tulips, etc. here in Florida, so I always enjoy seeing them wherever I can find them. We are up to 90 degrees here today, but next week it will be dropping down into the 40's again. It's still winter, after all! I appreciated your answers. And I prefer a house salad too. I like honey mustard dressing when out, but at home I used Marie's Cole Slaw Dressing on my salads. It has a creamy kind of base with celery seeds in it, and it's kind of a "sweet and sour" type of dressing. Perfect for salad or coleslaw! Enjoy your lovely spring crocuses and daffodils for me.

  10. So pretty! Our pup is usually wherever hubs is, but if he's not available then you'll find him under my feet : ) I don't have any hyacinth growing in my garden/yard so might need to add some this year. My daffodils have spread nicely and I'm hoping the iris do too. We started with just a couple from a neighbor. The soil where they're planted isn't the best but somehow they've survived. Have a great day!

  11. These are fun! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the hints of spring in your photos. If you have a chance to visit Rome, it's wonderful. I must admit, however, that I enjoyed Florence more, for various reasons.

  12. What a beautiful bouquet! How sweet that Ernie is your office buddy. One of my favorite flowers is Lily Of The Valley. But you never hear anything about them and I have never even seen any growing!

  14. A raspberry vinegar dressing sounds really good on a salad. Have not tried that before. I can just see Ernie right next to your desk while you are on your blog hehehe. He's so cute. Carla, I'm not a traveler at all, but I've always wanted to visit Rome. It sounds interesting and special to see, as it goes way back in history. That snow picture is neat; you can see the blossom sprouting. Thank you for the Spring bouquet!

  15. I love your answers. Daffodils are my favorite flower! And they are just now popping open around my garden. I may have a few...
I have been to Rome and loved it and want to drag my husband over there.
And your crocus gives us all hope for spring.

  16. Yes, trust is a tough one for sure. Glad you enjoyed Shakespeare. Your raspberry dressing sounds good. I'm glad Ernie likes your office space too. Thanks for the bouquet. Interesting random thought. Hope all is well with you.

  17. I am definitely not a trusting person.. learnt it the hard way at an early age. We got snow over the weekend and our temps plummeted once again.. what is up?

  18. I love the daffys too. Love this time of year. Happy Spring!
