#15 & #16

 Hi Friends,

For those of you following along with our 52 Day Dates, I am going to do some catch up here the next few weeks. You will notice my photos are of spring, not the full summer that we are currently in. Hang in there with me, hopefully I will get caught up here.

Episode #15

Honey Help and Cook Together

I was busy cleaning gardens. I had my climbing plants to clean off the tip top of our obelisks. Our Day Date became an afternoon of Honey Do. We worked together on the projects that I am not able to do without some help.

 We made dinner together.

We made one of our favorite one pan meals, Cajun Shrimp. We had sweet corn on the side. It was great to get a few projects done and make a delicious meal.

Episode #16

Spring Walk

We went for a beautiful spring walk at Veteran's Park.

The frogs started to sing, spring, spring, spring. We saw turtles sunbathing. The loons were back on the lake for the summer. It was a fun hike seeing everything wake up from a winter's sleep. And those who migrate back for the summer, loons, ducks and geese.

Isn't it fun to cook with the one you love...just being in the kitchen, making a meal together and enjoying the meal afterwards..AWESOME. And Carla...a Spring walk sounds so good. Not only sharing this time together, but also in enjoying the sounds of nature... Enjoy your nice weather this weekend. I'm looking forward to reading more of your "to be continued"

  5. Your Cajun shrimp looks so good! We had shrimp too this week. When I have extra, I cut it up and add it to my scrambled eggs for extra protein. That lake picture is really nice!

  8. I loved catching up on your dates, Carla. I don’t have a honey to do any chores but my son, Mike, does help out of which I am grateful. The shrimp meal looked so good and walk together must’ve been relaxing. Have a great weekend!

  10. Your cajun shrimp looks like my low boil recipe. I add cut cobs of corn into mine along with the shrimp, sausage and potatoes. Love your obelisks. My hubby just finished something new in our garden. Will share soon. We worked together too! Janice

  13. The honey-do's make for a good date. We like to work together getting those pesky little things done and then take a walk or get a ice cream. Cute photo of you both.

  20. Oh Carla, I love your "honey do" date. Nothing fancy, just two dear loved ones getting together and getting things done that was much needed. The Cajun shrimp meal looks delicious. I just had shrimp and crab last night with butter and garlic. And your second date on the walk was perfect as well. To see the turtles and the loons is an extra treat. And I always love to see your smiling face, Carla. I like that pink flannel you're wearing too. It's been chilly lately. Thanks for sharing your precious dates with us. You will remember them always.
