Hello Friends,
Today I am going to share a bit of This and That, here we go.
We had a wild windstorm Wednesday of this week. The leaves, branches, twigs and garbage were swirling in the wind making a big ol' mess.
Autumn sunlight and shadows on the walls are a favorite of mine.
The sunshine dancing on the walls.
"Three brown leaves danced with two yellow ones in a little whirl of wind."
Note we did not have a little whirl of wind on Wednesday, it was a full windstorm.
A peek inside the greenhouse. The twinkle lights are programed to come on at 6pm now. There is the cotton plant. I stripped the leaves in hopes it will put all the energy into the bolls.
And last but not least a fresh homemade apple pie, still warm and waiting for you to come on over for a slice and conversation.
♥
Carla

ReplyDeleteOh Carla, your apple pie looks wonderful! I just bought a bag of apples, and wanted to do something yummy with them. wow, the windstorm sounds fierce. I love that greenhouse photo. Your October calendar is delightful, and that looks like a Susan Branch one. There's something so special about seeing the sunlight dancing on the walls and floors in our homes. Your "this and that" post was delightful, and it made me smile on this Monday morning. : )

ReplyDeleteI would love to join you for a slice of pie but alas there is a big old stretch of water in the way lol. Hope the wind didn't do any damage. Autumn has well and trully arrived here now. Today I gave in and put the heating on.

ReplyDeleteA cotton plant? Now that is a new one for me. One that you can grow in a pot! I am so intriqued. I, too, LOVE the sunlight streaming in on the walls and things. I probably take a photo a day of them:) (not to share, so much, but just to enjoy!)

ReplyDeleteA cotton plant in a pot? I can't wait to see those little fluffy cotton balls...
Hugs, Julia
That apple pie looks incredible — warm homemade pie is the perfect reward after a wild windstorm! I love the peek at the greenhouse twinkle lights too. I grabbed the InstaUp APK Old Version on my phone to sort through my own fall photos.
ReplyDeleteEek to the windstorm. I really don't like that sort of weather. Yum to that apple pie!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to have some of that pie. Everything looks so cozy! I love your SB calendar!
