Thoughts on Saturday

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ' press on ' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."
Calvin Coolidge

  1. So true isn't it? We must press on for what other option do we have?

  5. Perfect quote, and a gorgeous shot of that field. I love the light...the way it draws in the eye.

  6. That is good food for thought! A shop keeper recently told us that her Dad......who is near 90....tells her.....to have 'fortitude and persistence'. She inherited the store from him. I like that.....fortitude and persistence, two things we can have a 'go' at ourselves. =)

  7. So much wisdom in these words, Carla. I once heard someone say that we often give up just before the triumph. Victory is often just around the corner. Your sons have an awesome mom! Hugs, Nancy
