It is the talk of Wisconsin. It is March 9th and we hit 50 degrees.
Yes, it is true, us folks in Wisconsin can get excited about 50 degree weather in early March.
Messy, messy, messy.
Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush.

Oh- Yes----It is messy here, too. UGH- Welcome to Wisconsin- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteAh yes - spring thaw is messy, especially with dogs! Hope you see crocuses soon.
ReplyDeleteIsn't this wonderful weather!!!! Have you ever been to Cave Point in Door County? I put some pictures on my blog.
ReplyDeleteRight there with you my friend! Our "heat wave" today will bring 48 degree temps, I can hardly believe the warm up is coming! Mud, slush - it's all worth it to see grass and flowers! Cool pics!
ReplyDeleteWe are a bit behind you as far as the thaw. There are certainly no patches of exposed grass or flowers here yet, but the temps are in the 40s now, so we are hopeful!
ReplyDeleteWe had a high of 75 yesterday in Georgia, but we are having a lot of rain. Our local lake, is full! Just today, from my kitchen window, I noticed a tiny amount of green showing on the trees. I am wishing nicer days for you! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteWay ahead of you! We are deep into spring and as we don't get snow we don't get slush either.
ReplyDeleteStay dry :-)

We got excited about going over 50 this weekend too! And it continues! Yay! Do you have crocuses blooming already? I haven't seen anything pop up yet!
ReplyDeleteI had to do a google temperature conversion first, but yes that is definitely worth getting excited over after all those freezing temperatures. That is probably just below the average winter temperature we get in Auckland.
ReplyDeleteLove those crocuses.
It's going to be melting even more in the days to come but I know you're happy for warmer temps. It was HOT here today...in the 80s and humid. But we love it. (we love 70s better though! lol) Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteyep, heat wage over here too...but I know it's not going to last. Not yet
ReplyDeleteIt is the muddiest of muddy messes at our farm, but I am loving every minute of it. The simple fact that I am walking around with no coat, is reason to smile!
ReplyDeleteDon't get too excited you know it can snow in May in Wisconsin. Oh the mud, I remember that well.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
Yes! It's been springy here, too. So wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteHello Carla,
ReplyDeleteI saw your blog through Nana Diana's blog. This post caught my eye, as Purple is my favorite color, and these flowers are gorgeous. I see that you're from Wisconsin. My father-in-law grew up in Wisconsin, and I heard it's lovely there. Me and my daughters also have a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. It's so nice to meet new friends, especially from different states. Sending you a bit of sunshine from California. We're already starting to feel the warmth here. Have a sweet day.
