Hello Friends, today it is Friday. Off we go on a trip.
We are going to explore Wisconsin Point.
Wisconsin Point is a peninsula off the shore of Superior, Wisconsin. It is one of our favorite places to go to explore the shores of Lake Superior.
We visited Wisconsin Point the last weekend of March 2015. We enjoyed beautiful Spring weather.
The Wisconsin Point Lighthouse was built in 1913 and is located on the end of the peninsula. It is owned and maintained by the city of Superior.
Treasure in the sand.
Carla the Explorer!
My boys out looking for sea glass, rocks, drift wood and any other fun find.
"Woof", look at me, I am standing on Lake Superior.
We found several pieces of sea glass, a heart shaped rock and fun drift wood. |
It looks cold but once you start walking...and exploring....you usually forget out the chill. Fun photo of you my friend. And I've only found one heart shaped stone in all of my beach combing! What fun finds! Enjoy your weekend. Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteYay for finding a heart shape stone and some sea glass. There's still lots of ice to melt but spring is here. It won't be long. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
JB
Yay! I love that photo of you! It's so nice to see the face of a friend. You guys look like you are having a blast. Our harbor has finally thawed, looks like you guys are still dealing with the ice. I hope it melts soon!
ReplyDeleteI see that you love Lake Superior like we do--although we usually go the other way- towards Marquette and Munising. Hope you have seen the Pictured Rocks area on Lake Superior-it, too, is beautiful. GREAT picture of you! xo Diana

ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun! You really found some treasures.
ReplyDeleteCarla, I just love your photos, and it's such a joy to see a bit of Wisconsin. I've heard that it's so lovely. And I got to see your sweet face today too. Lake Superior is very nice, and I love nature photos, even from the simplest feather. Try to bring your boys by tomorrow if you get a chance so they can see the funny animals at the zoo. Me and my son went there yesterday.
ReplyDeleteHave a peaceful weekend, Carla.

Such a fun trip! I love the choppy icy water! You look so cute! Lucky you guys, finding sea glass!
ReplyDeleteHow fun. We live near Lake Huron...its about a half hour ride. Janice
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful area! You really have me inspired to make some trips to the Superior area this year!
ReplyDeleteAnd... Super cute pic of you!!
DeleteLighthouses are one of my favorite things - especially if they come with pirates and ghosts.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a fun trip, you look so happy Carla.

Oh to dip my toes in that sand! What a great place with stunning scenery. xx
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely day, Carla!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like one of the most striking places to visit...in summer. Just kidding, it's gorgeous now too, but I bet it's stunning in summer.
ReplyDeleteI found you Carla....it's a odd thing when you leave me a comment and I click through...you are now the only one that circles around to my Blogger account...quite disconcerting when it does that to me. But I have made a note of your correct blog name...no more googling Carla the river...lol. That was what I did wrong the last few times.
