Celery raw develops the jaw
But celery stewed is more quietly chewed.

The above photos are of my celery patch in the garden last summer. We are having cold temperatures with snow, snow and more snow this week.
I have a bad case of gardening blues...think spring.
I've had the urge to dig too but the snow has just gone and it's still too cold to dig. The tulips and daffodils are just starting to poke through the cold ground. Those things are hardy as nail. It will come soon enough and the hard work to keep up with the weed.
ReplyDeleteI started some seeds that needs an early start indoors. That's the easy part.
Have a good tuesday.
Hugs,
JB
Great shot...I would love to start digging, too...we just need the snow to stop falling here!! Thinking spring with you!!
ReplyDeleteI know... the weather has been such a tease with 80 degrees here and now its back to freezing this weekend... ugh! Nice celery.. don't the Amish use celery in their weddings?

ReplyDeleteWe had six inches yesterday - and they only predicted 1-4 so I was whole heartedly thinking Spring yesterday as I was slip sliding away in my car! THINKING SPRING HERE! Thanks for the Tuesday funny my friend!
ReplyDeleteIt has been warm here, lots of yellow pollen everywhere, and...tonight there's a freeze warning!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great crop you had!
ReplyDeleteIt will be here soon. I HOPE! We are back to colder temps again..but no snow. I'm so ready for real spring!! Dreaming of our little garden too.
ReplyDeleteI know you are anxious to work in the garden. We love celery and carrots as a snack.
ReplyDeleteI love fresh crisp celery. You must need cooler temps to grow it though. Strawberries are in season here right now! They are so good. Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteCelery humor...lol...love it! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a good crop...and I hear you about having Spring fever, we had snow in the air again today and the weather this week is still cold!
Stay warm! Hugs, Kimberley
I've never grown celery...I thought we were't the right climate or soil. I love it more in stews and soups than anything.

I've got Celery growing as one of my winter vegetables. Hope you get some warm weather soon, just started to get cold mornings here, definitely an autumnal chill to the air now.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am reading on many blogs about your snow ...
ReplyDeleteCome over and have a look at my blue sky! LOL!
Celery is good eaten cold or braised in a casserole - yummy, especially if you can grow your own once the weather is ok
Take care
All the best Jan
No more Snow!!!! Let Spring continue and summer come in soon. I am so over this cold weather we are having in the midwest too. Wow you get a good crop of celery. Let's think nice warm sun filled days.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
That's a nice bunch of celery from your garden! I'm looking forward to starting our garden soon too.
ReplyDeleteNice celery crop. I've never known anyone who grew celery in their garden. Yours are gorgeous. xo
ReplyDeleteJust realized we forgot to get celery seed! Did you start yours from plant or from seed?
ReplyDeleteAlso, suffering from the same gardening blues.
wishing Spring would stick around for you and stop playing games.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
Spring sure seems to be taking its time this year! I hope the weather improves so we can get out in our gardens (and get over the gardening blues!).
