Farmer's Market Hodgepodge

It is Wednesday it is time for  the Hodgepodge!
Joyce asks the questions.
We answer the questions.

My first market day.

1. I read here a list of 13 things you should do in June. I'm paraphrasing a little but basically...

Go on a road trip with your best friend, pick fresh strawberries, host a garden party, take a morning run, treat yourself to a flower bouquet, spend a whole day hiking, discover a new coffee shop, try a new ice cream flavor, read at least one book, visit a Farmer's Market, make a swing for your home, and visit a new city.

Which thing on the list do you most want to do? Of the activities mentioned, which one holds the least appeal? How many on the list will you attempt in June? What's one thing you'd add to the list?

How fun that visiting a Farmer's Market is on the list. June 3rd was my first time heading to market to sell my fresh flowers. I was so nervous about several things.
First, I was struggling getting the EZ Up Tent up myself. I was so happy Mary, our Market Manager, has a trick she taught me on getting the tent up by your self.
Second, how to transport my bouquets in the car so they do not get damaged.
I am happy to report that all went well, I am so happy to have that first market in the books. I am very excited about the season.

Which thing on the list do you most want to do in June? Pick fresh strawberries

What holds the least appeal? Make a swing for your home

How many will I attempt?  I already have plans for a road trip, fresh flower bouquets are part of my summer {BIG smile}, I hope to go for a nice woods hike, I would not mind finding a new coffee shop, yes to ice cream, I plan to read a book.

What is one thing you would add to the list? Go for a Full Moon walk

 2. What's something you could do today to feel more peaceful?

Go for a walk...I always feel more peaceful when outside.

 3. June 7th is National Chocolate Ice Cream Day. Are you a fan? Swiss mocha, rocky road, chocolate chocolate chip, peanut butter and chocolate, or a dish of plain chocolate...what's your pleasure?

Oh yes, I like Chocolate ice cream! I like Chocolate Marshmallow.

 4. If you came with a warning what would it say?

Do not be a Drama Queen around me....I do not have time for it.

5.What's the most interesting website you've visited in the last week?

Horticulture ~ The Art and Science of Smart Gardening

 6. Spring, summer, autumn, winter...which season are you? Why?

I took an online quiz Quizony  and I am Spring!
When I asked my husband he said Spring! Why? I am bubbly, cheerful and positive. He said " Daffodils."

7. "You lose sight of things...and when you travel, everything balances out." ~Daranna Gidel

Would you agree with that sentiment? Explain why or why not.

At this time of my life, I would agree. At times I can get so wrapped up in what I am doing, I forget to just relax and enjoy. We will hit the road, get away from it all and all of a sudden, I am hit with how important time with family and friends are. So very important!

 8. Insert your own random thought here.

I read that 4,153,237 people got married last year. Shouldn't that be an even number?

  1. I had to read a couple of these to my hubby. The drama queen warning...hhmmmm! I might need that bumper sticker too! haha! And the even number. Love your beautiful flowers for the farmer's mkt! Hugs, Diane

  2. Oh how I wish I could buy myself a bouquet of flowers from your stand at the Farmer's Market! I would laugh at your random comment but the scary part is with the redefining of marriage who knows what is considered legal anymore. Sure isn't God's ordinance of marriage though. Have a great rest of the week :)

  3. Congratulations on your success at market. The table display is very cheerful and pretty. It seems nobody wants to make a swing! That number on marriage is interesting. Strange. Disturbing in light of the times.

  5. Haha~ Love the marriage fact and yes, unless you are Carrie Bradshaw from SATC and you are marrying yourself, that should be an even number!! ;)

  7. Glad to hear that your time at the Farmer's Market went well. A full moon walk sounds like a great idea! That is rather funny about the marriage numbers. I agree they should be even.

  10. I love your market display. I am so excited for you.
Your walk under a full moon sounds fun.....
In 2002, John, Mother and I purchased our dream home on 2 1/2 acres beside a creek. We planted many white plants that were attractive by the light of the moon! I have sweet memories of that time.

  11. Well, you have me confused on the "odd" number of marriages last year.
I am so glad your first trip to the market was a success, and that Mary was there to help!

  12. With respect to your Random Thought, perhaps someone married two spouses or someone married him or herself giving the term self love real meaning. Thanks for stopping by my blog page and leaving a comment.

  13. I love walking as well to clear my head. Sometimes quietly, sometimes with my music. Ice cream I don't like so much.

  18. Oh I wish you would make a swing for your home. You have so much room for it. I'll never forget swinging my son on the tire swing in front of my aunt's house. Such sweet memories.
