Hey, Clean Your Room ~ It is the Hodgepodge

A sweet little cottage I would love to take a peek in.
When we go for a ride out to the Sportsmen's Club that my boys shoot trap at, my husband always takes me by my favorite little dream cottage.

It is Wednesday and you know what that means. It is time for the Hodgepodge!
Joyce asks the questions.
We answer the questions.

 1. What would you say is your strongest sense?
Smell

 2. Do you believe in the idea of a 'sixth sense'? Why or why not?
Yes, I do. I think it is also called a gut feeling. Or a nudge from a prayer you have been seeking an answer.

3. When do you most feel like a slave to time? Explain.
Oh, that awful Day Light Savings time!
Set ahead or set back ... it does not matter ... all I know is you mess up my time!

 4. Have you ever worked in a restaurant? How would you rate the experience? If you could own a restaurant what kind would it be?
Yes, I have worked in a restaurant. In fact that is how I met my husband. I was a waitress/dishwasher. He was a bartender.
I enjoyed the time doing both jobs, but that might be because I was also busy flirting with the bartender.
If I owned a restaurant I would keep the menu simple.

5. Ever traced your family tree? Share something interesting you learned there.
This is something I plan to do. I have notes given to me from both sides of my family.

 6. What did your childhood bedroom look like?
Neat and Tidy .... I made my bed every morning. I loved to rearrange my bedroom. My bedroom was painted pink!
I would decorate my room for the seasons. My dad always found me a little fresh Christmas tree for my room. He would place it in a coffee can so I could keep it watered.

 7. Anyone who knows me knows I love_______________________?
Flowers

 8. Insert your own random thought here.

  1. Loved the cha-cha answer, Carla! And I'm with you about that Daylight Saving Time thing. Ugh!!! But you made me laugh with the mental movie of you flirting with the bartender. And so sweet about the Christmas tree! xo

  2. I don't like time change either. I'll be sad when we have to turn the clocks back in a few weeks.

Love the quote you shared for your random thought!

  5. I am chuckling at you flirting! lol Yes, fresh flowers always remind me of you and your passion. My cats also get "out of sorts" when the time changes. It makes feeding time interesting and inconvenient! In my childhood bedroom, I remember having the Pinky and Blue Boy art work above mine and Karen's twin beds. lol

  7. Ha! Love that quote, I'd never heard it before. I love how your dad gave you your own fresh tree every year!! I liked to rearrange my room. I used to share with my sister though..until she went to college and then I had free reign! I want to peek inside that dreamy cottage too! I hate DLST and how it affects us!

  8. Love the cha-cha answer. And why didn't I think of the Daylight savings time thing? The spring forward always irritates me. My brother and his wife also met while working in a restaurant, as did our daughter and her husband. I love the pics of those cottages. We also kept our room very neat. Anything out of place in a small room is very messy.

  9. Love the quote. What a fabulous way to look at life. I think the story of how you met your husband is the sweetest. Now I can see why dancing while cooking is a favorite activity for you guys...taking you back to your roots. ;)

  19. That little cottage sure is cute. I love the fact that your dad bought you a little Christmas tree for your room when you were growing up. How sweet that is. I shared a bedroom with my sister growing up, and like you, I loved to rearrange it from time to time. :)
