Memory Making in July

Capturing special moments in the season of Summer in the month of July!

A day of fishing with my son. It was just me and Atticus. We packed a picnic and fished at some of our favorite secret spots.

Creating bouquets to celebrate Independence Day!

Enjoying an evening fire.

Grilled homemade pizza.

Dinner for two on our back deck overlooking the garden.

Watching one of our young friends play baseball.

And his team won the championship!

A few of my favorite's about summer..

evening walks, lighting bugs, summer bug song at night, shooting starts, s'mores, baseball, flowers, fresh veggies from the garden, ice cream, suntanned smiles and more flowers.

Love, Carla

Ahhh yes, fireflies! Me'thinks they are about gone, here. So quickly... -sigh-

  4. Love all your July fun. Atticus is so handsome just like Sam. You got yourself some cuties. Glad you are enjoying summer. Hoping the rain will move out for us like they are predicting for next week. Sunshine and nice weather all next week. These weeks of so much rain lately is hard to take. Have a great weekend. xoxo Kris

  7. Hi Carla, This is a great photo of Atticus with his catch! My husband loves to fish and sometimes the neighbor takes him to his secret spots here in SC. I know you both enjoyed the special time together. It must have been fun to create July 4th bouquets. Your pizza and salad both look delicious. I love to enjoy meals outdoors in the summer. At a local restaurant recently, they offered sweet corn home made ice cream….I did not try it but it sure made me curious. When my great nephew recently visited my brother in Georgia, he was introduced to catching lightning bugs and placing them in a jar briefly. It brought back fond memories from mine and Karen’s childhood. Congrats to your little friends team for winning the championship! Thanks for this fun summer blog post. Mildred

  9. Yes, I'm a huge fan of summer, too. I wish it was a little longer, but I love it. We were in Door County last week, and I had a couple of big projects due this week, so now I'm trying to catch up. Enjoy the week ahead!
