Pumpkin Carving Party 2021

It is time to pick out a pumpkin.

Guess what, my parents grew our pumpkins for the 2021 pumpkin carving party.

The hot cider is ready!

The chili is bubbling!

The bon fire is keeping us toasty warm.

Let us get started!

Cleaning our pumpkins out. We keep the seeds to roast.

A few of our fun creations!

A Jack O Lantern sways fitfully in the wind ~

A flame dances wildly from within ~

It's there to BEWITCH!

Beware; It's Dark! Run In!

 Listen! The wind is rising & the air is wild with leaves;

we have had our summer evenings, now for October Eves!

 Humbert Wolf

Our son Atticus caught this squirrel checking out their pumpkins.

 Trick or Treat

 Happy Halloween to you.

  1. These are so good, and creative as well! My favorites are the one with whiskers around the stem, a cat maybe... and the one with the swirly eyes.

  2. That looks like a lot of fun. Next year, you might need a bigger pot for your chilli. My favorite carved pumpkin is the cat. I love the picture of the black squirrel checking up the carved pumpkins. It must be a witch's squirrel. lol.
    HAPPY HALLOWEEN.

  3. What a fun time carving out the pumpkins! And that hot apple cider sure sounds good.
Warms a body up with its apple goodness. You guys did a great job on the pumpkins
this year, Carla. And how wonderful that your parents grew the pumpkins that you
used this year. I like the ones lit up on your porch. The one with the stem for the
nose is unique. That green one is cool also. My favorite is the heart-shaped face.
Oh, that mischievous squirrel. : )

    Happy Halloween, Carla.

  10. What a great tradition! I love each and every pumpkin shown. The different imaginations at work, so fun. I am amazed by the witch's shoe pumpkin when it is lighted up, I had no idea it would look like that. Love 'em all, including that strange little mole-like pumpkin with the nose and whiskers!
