2022 Pumpkin Party

Hello Friends,

We hosted our annual pumpkin party October 23rd. It was a beautiful October day in Northwest Wisconsin. Our last few weeks of October and early November weather has been fantastic.

We enjoyed a menu of..

Homemade Creamy Potato Soup

A variety of Wisconsin cheese slices and homemade sourdough crackers.

Hot Apple Cider

Catie, Sam's girlfriend came with her little sister. Catie made a delicious Sweet Potato Pie and Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies.

We also enjoyed S'mores and Apple Hand-pies later in the day.

We set up pumpkin carving and pumpkin painting outside.

My parents grew all of the pumpkins that we carved that day.

Eleanor is Catie's little sister. This was the first time meeting our family. She was not shy at all. She really enjoyed time with my mom.

Eleanor painted all of her pumpkins. She loved painting.

We saved seed from all of the pumpkins. My parents are already looking forward to planting, growing and hauling a truck load of pumpkins for our 2023 Pumpkin Party.

  4. What a fun pumpkin party, Carla. How wonderful that your mom and dad came. The little ones just love carving and painting pumpkins. The creamy potato soup and hot apple cider sounds delicious, and just the right thing on a cold day, like today. Isn't that something that your parents grew all the pumpkins? I'm sure they are so pleased about that. Love that picture of all of you together, Carla. What a special day to remember always.

  9. How sweet that your parents grow the pumpkins makes them even more special. Catie's sister is adorable and how great she got to be in on the fun. Memories made are the best. The menu for dinner and desert sounded pretty delish too. Glad you had a great time. xoxo Kris

  17. Looks like a fun family day! The weather here has been amazing as well. Rain is coming this weekend and the temps are dropping so I guess that will be the end of one of the most beautiful falls we've had in a long time. Have a nice weekend!

  18. I love your annual tradition and the fact that your family grows the pumpkins is so special. I tried to grow pumpkins once, but the vines took over our small yard. It was actually very funny. Maybe next year we'll try again and try to restrict them to one small area! We'll see!! Haha!
