Thoughts on a Tuesday

Hello Friends,

I have been doing a daily study by Charles Spurgeon called Morning by Morning. The following words spoke to me, I wanted to share them with you.

When "tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope."

We should never know the music of the harp if the strings were left untouched; nor enjoy the juice of the grape if it were not trodden in a wine-press; nor discover the sweet perfume of cinnamon if it were not pressed and beaten; nor feel warmth of fire if the coals were not utter consumed.

The wisdom of power of the great Workman are discovered by the trials through which His vessels of mercy are permitted to pass.

Charles Spurgeon

  3. Very nice and so true. We really need to experience all aspects of emotional and physical touch with everything in life. Deep prayers for all of those in Israel. That is an aspect of life right now that is incomprehensible. Hugs today. Kris

  5. Oh, I really like this quote that you have shared with us today, Carla. The smell of cinnamon is one of my favorite scents of all. Your flower photo is so pretty and goes well with his words.

Have a sweet October day, Carla.
