Hello Friends, for our family, unwrapping each ornament and sharing the memory behind it makes decorating our Christmas tree a family tradition that we try to do together each year.
Homemade ornaments always bring back memories of school days.
Three Cheers ... for favorite sports teams.
Ornaments passed down from generations.
Ornaments rescued from a trash can.
Oh this little angel could share a story, she was destined for the trash can at a place of employment years ago, I scooped her up and brought her home with me.
Ornaments that are gifted to us from friends and family, they all tell a story.

So like an angel to save another angel. What a great angel to have hanging on your special family Christmas tree. How fun to think of all the beautiful memories as you hang your ornaments. Christmas is coming quickly. Enjoy every moment. Happy New Week. Hugs. Kris
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post. I love what you shared. They are all so cute and precious to you.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny you posted this. Just yesterday I was rereading a post I wrote several years ago about some of our ornaments. It's always fun to pull them out each year and remember the person, event, or decade associated with each one.
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful! What a lovely tradition. My favorites are the tiny knit cap and the angel who was trashed.
ReplyDeleteA lot of my ornaments have sentimental energy around them too. So many sweet memories. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure wether I can put up a tree this year as I have a large piece of furniture where the tree used to be.
Hugs, Julia
Carla, I love your ornaments, and it sounds like each one has a story. I especially love that little angel. I can't believe she was once headed to the trash can by someone. I'm so glad you rescued her, as she is very unique. Some of your ornaments look so vintage, which I really appreciate. And you have the traditional colored lights....wonderful! The ornaments made at school are treasures. Thank you for sharing some of your ornaments with us, Carla. Each one made me smile, and I know they mean so much to you, filled with memories. : )
