Just about forgot...

When I flip the calendar page, I will share the past page with you here on the blog.

Only one more page to go.. today here is November 2024.

And the story is, we adopted a rescue dog in October of 2023. My sister gifted this calendar to us featuring a little rescue dog. As each month goes by I will give a little update on our Ernie.

He is doing well... but he will be the first to tell you he does not like cold weather. We had wild cold winds in November and he would have to put his face down and brave the wind as we went for our walk. His fur would blow right flat on his back.

He would be happy to get home, get a treat and curl up in his bed.

  1. Awww I do not blame little Ernie for not liking the cold I am right there with him. Hope your Christmas was fabulous. Now onto a new year of possibilities and hopefully more peace in the world. Hugs. Kris

  2. Oh, your calendar is delightful, Carla, and I have enjoyed seeing the pages for each month this year. Too bad Ernie does not like that cold weather when he takes walks. But I bet he's so happy when he gets home and settles in his comfy space. I'm glad you have such a special companion, Carla. Nel's new dog, Jax, is adjusting nicely to his new home too. Rescue dogs are special, aren't they?

  7. I don't love cold weather either. I like the idea of a treat and then curling up under my cozy afghan. I am glad you adopted him though.
Love your previous post about the locks you found on your hike.
    Happy New Year!

  9. I'm glad to know about Ernie. I understand about the cold wind. I can hardly stand it. It doesn't get as cold here as where you live but these cold windy days are miserable. Sorry I have been such a bad blogging friend this year. Hopefully, I can do better in the new year. I do think of you and your family often. Wishing you a Happy New Year!!! Love, Melba
