A Christmas Rewind Post
Irvine Park Christmas Village
Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin
One balmy December evening my husband and I, oh and the copper dog too, we ventured to Irvine Park Christmas Village.
It is so fun to walk. This evening was warm and so many families were out and about. It was great fun to sing along with the Christmas music playing along the displays and with the other people walking along too.
There is an area that has rock formations. The water continues to drip and slowly freezes along the rock formations creating a unique display of natures beauty.
Me and the copper dog.
I always love how they decorate this area.
And now for a little Christmas rewind at my parents.
My sister helps my mom put up her Christmas Village each year.
This year we arrived two days before my sister and her husband.
If you look below, I played a little trick on my sister. She had the wolves in the woods. I moved them to the farmyard. And can you believe she noticed RIGHT AWAY!!
"Who was messing with my Christmas Village."
Yes, the family shenanigans began.
My mom's new ornament for 2026.
Season's Greetings
It is the little things in life that mean the most.

I am loving seeing Christmas lights and Christmasy look backs here in December! It makes me happy :). The walk you went to looks so pretty! How wonderful to go on a balmy night. The rock formations are pretty! I love Christmas shenanigans and that your sister noticed. Traditions and family are the best! Have a great Monday!
ReplyDeleteI smiled when I read that you moved the wolve. Too funny. Sounds like something someone in our family would do...and did when I was younger when my gramma had her village out. LOL Christmas memories dont always have to be about presents. Loved the pic of you and Ernie. That rewind was special. Janice
ReplyDeleteHow funny that your sister would notice so quickly that you moved the wolves. lol. Christmas lights have a way of making us feel like kids and I love this. So much beauty and warmth...just the way Christmas should be.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Christmas display. Love that rock formation with the frozen water. Ha Ha about the wolf and moving him to the farmland. Hugs and Happy new week. Kris
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous. Beautiful photos. ❤️
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely rewind, all those small details that stay with you.
ReplyDeleteThe village walk sounds magical, and the family mischief made me smile (of course she noticed right away!). These are exactly the moments that make a season memorable.
Wishing you many more of them. ❤️
Your sister is very observant! I love your photos, especially the decorated gazebo and the church.
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! And it looks like Ernie had a great time, too. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to visit over the festive season. The lights are so pretty!
ReplyDeletehehehe! To the family shenanigans. That did make me chuckle.
Oh Carla, that was a funny story about your sister. So good of her to set up the Christmas Village at your mom's house every year. This Christmas Village you went to is beautiful with all the lights. I love that picture of you and Ernie under the dome lights. That is such a cool display. And the blue Christmas tree is soooo pretty. Thanks for sharing this village with us, Carla. I am still in the Christmas spirit. ; )
ReplyDeleteOh those lights look so pretty. My granddaughter likes to play with our nativity and while her parents fuss about her breaking something I find it's a good way to get the Christmas story introduced. I just have to watch that she doesn't squirrel away one of the pieces home with her. It's the sort of thing she does lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post. Looks like you had a nice time walking around looking at the Christmas decorations. That's funny about the Christmas village.
ReplyDeleteLOL Your sister is very observant!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your photographs.
All the best Jan
Great Christmas fun! The lights were beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI giggled about your sister noticing the wolves right away in the wrong place.
Sounds like a fun Christmas with family. Thanks for taking us along.
Happy Tuesday!
I enjoyed your Christmas rewind, Carla and the trick you played on your sister!!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Those sibling pranks are the best. I love that you still partake! That's the magic of the holidays. xo
ReplyDeleteHahahahahaah. I love that you moved them. That's a hoot!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely Christmas. I love that you played a trick on your sister! That's what we do!!
