That sunbeam photo is gorgeous, but honestly, those bones in the tree completely threw me for a loop. You usually expect to see birds or squirrels up there, so stumbling across something like that on a trail in St. Croix would have made me stop in my tracks too. I love that you catch the quirky, unexpected details of a hike instead of just the usual landscape shots. Did you ever find out how those bones actually ended up up there, or is it just one of those weird trail mysteries you leave behind?
I don't know what " must ball out" but I'm going to look it up. The boss in the tree makes me think of a serial killer in the area who practices on animals or some Satanist ritual! Okay, so I have a vivid imagination. Thanks for sharing.

A very green hike with some graffiti. In Arizona we are use to seeing bones in the desert. Mostly cows. But we don’t see them up in trees. 😳 Happy Summer!
