Thrift Finds

An outside water dish for Ernie.

Another fun thrift find. I love the paw prints.

The thrifting jackpot.

My husband and I love NORTH. When we ask each other were we want to go spend the day, we will say along the shores of Lake Superior. We get in the car, and head North. I was so excited to find this North highway sign.  I have big plans for the display that I plan to do using the sign. The sign is up. Now I wait for the shelving that will go with it. Stay tuned.

I can get swooped in by dishes. I usually have to say no. I do not really need anymore dishes. Hee Hee!  My husband and I could not help ourselves with these. Daffodils are our wedding flower. These are fun happy spring dishes.

My husband also found a tackle-box for his fishing gear.

I picked up some craft paper.

We had a fun day out of thrifting.

  3. Love all your thrifted finds! Looking forward to seeing what you do with the North sign. I am constantly resisting buying dishes at estate sales. I don't need any more either!

  8. Oh Carla, it's so fun to go thrift shopping for the day. You found some great things. I love the "North" sign, as I am up north here in California too. Your dishes are perfect, as they are your wedding flower, and the yellow and orange look like summer. Thanks for sharing your thrift finds with us. I always love a good flea market, craft fair, or thrift store. : ) Happy summer, Carla!

  9. Hey Carla....you found some very neat things... Thrifting is so much find and it's amazing how many neat things one can find. My SIL just took a 3 month job up your way....I think he is in Superior Wisconsin...Is this a place? I'm not really sure but I know he sent us a message this morning telling us how nice the weather was.... lol... Beats the upper 90's Texas heat...

  11. I like your North sign. I live in the far north part of northern California and we prefer to not be branded as Northern California ( look at a map, it actually is central) so we go out of our way for our own distinction. Love the dishes, too. I love daffodils too. When my sister was born in March, my dad bought me a dozen daffodils. I still have dried. Imagine, 69 year old dried and pressed daffodils. Sweet!
I enjoy thrift shopping and sometimes you find exactly what you didn't know you wanted!
