This was special to me to see at the Fair this past summer. The sign says " This Chochen hen hatched a Guinea fowl and now are inseparable. " My dad has done this with chickens too. It is interesting how some hens are just better mom's. I love to watch little chicks learning from mom. Watching chickens will bring a smile to your face.
This also makes me think about how God is here. He works in mysterious ways. Giving this chick a special Mom. Just as he does with humans. He gives us what we need and takes away too. We may not understand at the time and we may never understand. This is something I have to remind myself and my boys, as we go into the world each day. My son has befriended a boy who grew up without a mom. I did not know this right away, but I sensed him reaching out to me. After prayer, I finally asked. His mom left when he was two, today he is twelve. He has been raised by his Dad.( who has done a great job! ) My son is one who wants to solve all problems and make them right. Of course, he just does not understand how a mom could just walk out. This is when I ask God, "Please, Dear Lord, help me and Jeremy raise our boys, for we can not do it without you. Please lead us. Guide us as we answer their questions and may we be good examples. May we be a light to others we meet along the way. Guide us on how we can shine that light to glorify you and work for you."
"He tends his flock like a shepherd:He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart;he gently leads those that have young"
Isaiah 40:11
You are wise parents. May God bless you as you raise your sons for Him.
