Malted Milk Cookies

Malted Milk Cookies

1 cup butter - no substitutes - softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 tablespoons instant chocolate drink mix
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups of malted milk balls, crushed

In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, drink mix, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in malted milk balls. Shape in to 1 1/2 inch balls.
Place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets.
Bake at 375 ยบ
Bake about 10 minutes
Cool

Our family loved these cookies.
 They are best right out of the oven with a cup of hot chocolate... a perfect way to warm up on a cold winters day.

The cookie jar is empty...off to make some more cookies.

  2. Oooh yummy! I've always loved malted milk balls. Haven't had them in forever, and certainly not in a cookie! How neat :)
