Dam fails at Paradise Springs

Last summer we enjoyed an adventure at Paradise Springs in the Southern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest  Click here to read about our adventure of 2014

Crystal clear water! That is water you are looking at in this photo. It was so clear it was amazing.

This past week my cousin and aunt shared the news.

Dam fails at Paradise Springs

I am sharing the photos from the newspaper clippings my aunt sent me.

We all are thankful we had the opportunity to visit last summer. It is a beautiful area of Wisconsin and full of history. It think it would still be worth stopping in to see the old buildings and the clear waters.

  2. Oh no, that is so horrible! Things like that make me so sad...because there is nothing we can do to prevent it from happening! I'm so glad you have photos of how it was.

  4. That water was amazing. I guess nature will always have its way, huh? Hopefully, the waters will be clear again and the dam repaired.

  5. So sad to hear about the dam failing. We had a dam fail here in Michigan and I never even knew we had any in our state. Glad you were able to visit before it was ruined. Janice

  13. Oh no, Carla, it looks like it's collapsing. That's too bad. What a pretty building. I hate to see old buildings fall down, they have so much history. Maybe you can go back and visit Paradise Springs again. You will always have your memories of time spent there with your family.
